On June 29, a prisoner exchange between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) took place near the al-Salihiyah river crossing east of the city of Deir Ezzor, according to the Syrian pro-opposition news outlet Zaman al-Wsl.

Taj al-Alaw, a Syrian pro-opposition activist, told Zaman al-Wsl that the SDF had released two soldiers of the SAA in exchange for three of its fighters who had been captured by the SAA during the recent battles between the two sides on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

According to local sources, the prisoner exchange deal was reached thanks to a Russian mediation. Furthermore, units of the Russian Military Police were present in the al-Salihiyah river crossing and supervised the execution of the deal.

This prisoners exchange deal hints a great improvement in the relationship between the SDF and the Damascus on one side, and between the SDF and Russia on the other. Earlier this year, the Kurdish-dominated group and its backers made several aggressive moves against Russia and Damascus.

The upcoming months may witness further improvement in the relationship between the SDF and the Damascus government. Recently, both sides expressed their willingness to engage in direct negotiations inside the country.

Maybe the Kurds are coming to their senses, they can trust the Syrian and Russian forces more than the zionist gangsters, who will at the drop of a hat stab them in the back. They have more to gain with Damascus, than the future with nothing but war and destruction from the satanic, thieving zionists .

Maybe them thinking they can act like “the Chicken who crossed the road” with the US too many times after the duck told them not to,”They’ll never hear the end of it!” is that old axiom is coming true!

Last week the US embassy in Jordan released a statement to commanders of FSA in south Syria that they were on their own – not to expect any US intervention. Would assume the SDF took some mental note of that – because when the time comes and US cuts a deal with Turkey over the north, the SDF will have equally served out their function to US and be cut loose.

Well this is a sign that the war within the war is winding down, we’re still lacking on the details why these two militias fought each other independent of anyone else.

If the US led axis would cut off their pay, like $1,500 a week, to the SDF and ISIS mercs everyone would go home.
