The Hamza Division’s supposed “engineers.”

On February 11, the Hamza Division, a faction of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), presented what it claimed to be a home-grown armored vehicle.

The vehicle, dubbed “Ra’ad,” was presented in a major celebration held in the Turkish-occupied part of northern Aleppo. The celebration was attended by senior leaders from the SNA as well as officials from the Syrian Interim Government, including its head Abdurrahman Mustafa.

The Hamza Division presented Ra’ad as some sort of a ‘patriotic achievement’. The group even shared a video summing the technical specifications of the supposed home-grown vehicle.

Nevertheless, experts were quick to point out that the vehicle was in fact a well-known Turkish-made armored infantry mobility vehicle known as Hızır.

Manufactured by Turkey’s Katmerciler, Hızır is in service in low numbers with the Turkish Armed Forces. Dozens were also exported to Kenya and Uganda.

The vehicle, which weighs 14 tons, has a speed of 110-120 km on roads and 35-40 on rough terrain. It was designed to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance missions at day and night. The vehicle’s armor protects against light and medium caliber weapons.

The Hamza Division showcased four Hızır vehicles, all were equipped with a remotely-controlled weapon stations and jamming systems.

The vehicles were likely supplied by Turkey, which provided its proxies in Syria with such equipment before. This was, however, the first time when Ankara’s proxies used Turkish weapons in one of their desperate propaganda stunts.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Eventually the Turkish backed moderate opposition will be better equipped than the SAA is.
But I did have to laugh when I read this,

“Manufactured by Turkey’s Katmerciler, Hızır is in service in low numbers with the Turkish Armed Forces. Dozens were also exported to Kenya and Uganda”,

Which for me translates into they’re defective in some way because they’re not a vehicle the Turkish troops want to use themselves.
Perhaps they have weak undercarriage that leave them vulnerable to IED attacks, unreliable or petrol hungry engines, or a number of other things that could make them undesirable for the Turkish troops, so hopefully whatever it is it’s something the SAA can exploit.

be a home-grown, home-made nuclear submarine with a 4000km ballistic missile range. The new vehicle is fully capable to cross the desert.
