According to representatives of Syrian Kurds, the rapid success of the Euphrates Shield Turkish operation in Syria proves Erdogan’s connection with the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group. A representative of the Democratic Union Party in Moscow, Abdusalam Ali, and head of the Syrian Kurdistan’s diplomatic representative office in Moscow, Rodi Osman, stated this in an interview with the Vzglyad newspaper.
“Turkish troops liberated the city of Jarablus, which previously could not be exempted of the IS since 2013, and they did this almost without a fight. This ‘liberation’ has happened suspiciously fast. I have every reason to believe that it was a show. The terrorists just trimmed their beards and defected to the side of ‘moderate’ opposition,” Abdusalam Ali said.
“If the IS terrorists were not Erdogan’s allies, would it be possible to liberate the city of Jarablus in a few hours? It would be impossible,” Rodi Osman added.
According to Osman, the main purpose of Erdogan is seizure of territories in northern Syria and deployment his ‘supporters’ there.
“This invasion confirms that Erdogan wants to make his dream of reviving of the Ottoman Empire a reality,” he said. “This invasion is a violation of the Syria’s sovereignty. Turkish actions are a kind of revenge to the Syrian Democratic Forces of the city of Manbij because they have recently ousted IS terrorists, Turkish allies, from the city.”
Abdusalam Ali also said that Ankara’s intervention in Syrian affairs is a violation of the Syria’s sovereignty. He noted that Turkey acts in agreement with the world’s leading powers because nobody of representatives of the international community has condemned Turkey’s actions unambiguously. According to Ali, the military leadership of the Syrian Kurdistan is currently developing a plan to counter the Turkish invasion.
“We are not supporters of the war and have never supported it. But we will fight until the end to protect the north of the Syrian border, territory of Rojava, and people. We are on our own land. Turkey has no right to cross the Syrian border and interfere in internal affairs of the country,” Rodi Osman said.
Yesterday evening, Turkish military for the first time entered into an open battle with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a major part of which is represented by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG). Turkish artillery destroyed a group of Kurds south of the city of Jarablus.
On Friday morning, it became known that the YPG captured seven villages near Jarablus, the Anadolu news agency reported. In this way, Kurdish units refused to obey the requirements to retreat to the east of the Euphrates River and went to the north bank of the river Saja, capturing three villages in the north of the city of Manbij, which they had previously recaptured from the IS.
Earlier, Turkish authorities said that the SDF must leave the area at the west of the Euphrates River. US Vice President Joseph Biden also warned that the US will stop to support Syrian Kurds, if they do not obey the request of Ankara.

The few (heavily censored) pictures coming out of Jarablus show these scrubbed-up ex-ISIS freaks in unbelievably clean uniforms with new weapons. Are the troops pictured Turkish SF, ex-ISIS or Nusra moderate head-choppers? You decide… they’re all basically the same.
