Syrian Government Forces Liberate More Points At Border With Iraq

Following the liberation of al-Waer dam, Syrian government forces have liberated Ard al-Washhash and Wadi al-Luwayziyah from ISIS terrorists at the border with Iraq. With this move they deployed in a striking distance from the T2 airport, the last major ISIS defense site en route to the border town of al-Bukamal.

Nice!

Michael Qiao

now we’re talking

joe doe

I hope this is correct, as no other independents outlets indicating such advances

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Al Masdr News is reporting it , the US/west media has a hard time focusing on things when the US is losing face and allies and creates more controversy ,they need to figure a new way to spin it .

joe doe

I am not watching of follow American or western media. They out of touch

Jesus

They are about 30-40 kms from T2 and closer to Al- Bukamal, PMU and SAA can straddle the border and move east. What happened to US strategic ingenuity? I guess they have to think how to move a pawn first, let alone think 5-6 moves ahead.

joe doe

Don’t worry, they will prepare something sneaky, as Russia will do nothing again, so they have free hand

Jesus

US is good at sneaky actions because they are imbued with lies and deception, as a result their actions reflect such a demented mindset.

Solomon Krupacek

simply, they are better

Jesus

Sneaky people usually have a complex for being sneaky, because they do not have the confidence or fortitude to deal with the matter straightforward. They must feel inferior or weak. You know the saying, actions speak louder than words.

Solomon Krupacek

russian special forces are also sneaky

Bob

Russia ‘doing nothing’ actually means not responding to pointless and desperate US provocations – and focusing on real strategic goals of actually facilitating SAA’s capability to secure the centre east and end the US’ whole three way partition plan.

Ronald

Never underestimate the enemy , T2 ya . Where is the PMU ?

Jesus

I do not underestimate anybody, ISIS is on its last legs, and US is boxed in. This area is west of Eufrates and within the reaches of Russian air defenses. US military is incapable of sound strategic moves against a peer adversary that can confront them effectively.
I am not saying this because I am anti American, I live in the US, I loathe the entire system and speak without spinning facts.

Solomon Krupacek

you underestimate the enemy and overestimate russians. you are the clown of SF :DDDD

Jesus

The truth hurts, does it not? I analyze military capabilities, along with the condition of the society and their moral compass. I look at motivation and goals behind every action. Yes, the Russians have superiority in Syria over US.

Solomon Krupacek

thruth is good, but your bullshts are laughly

no one time were you right

Brad Isherwood

You underestimate Hezbollah and over estimate IDF/IAF,
And Iron Dome

The Iron Dome has been pitched to the IDF as a more cost-effective anti-aircraft system to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles. Some estimates of the cost of a Tamir interceptor are around $100,000, but it is still 95 percent cheaper than using a MIM-104 Patriot, the primary Israeli interceptor, costing $2-$3 million.

Your gonna go broke in the next war vs Hezbollah : )

Solomon Krupacek

israel was stronger the the old assads syria. several times has beaten the saa. this is the reality. and if il want, total destroy hezbollah. you have orgasm from 1 battle. but insouth lebanon the lord is il. unfortunately, this is the truth. and in golan is mach migher lord il.

so, be realistic, beause today il is much stonger and the saa is only shadow of past saa.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

You definitely overestimate the US capabilities they become more evident when they have less support from its allies making them weaker than you suppose.

Solomon Krupacek

they dont need support. need only runways.

Redhunt86 .

the US has always been one foot in and one foot out in Syria.
Evey thing was done half-hardheartedly

Brad Isherwood

ISUS are probably low numeric, unless US are beating them out of Al Bukamal
With lots of ATGMS, ….Maybe some VBIEDs.
SAA and Shia Militias pushing East need to recon what’s ahead….
Forward Air Controlers time to shine

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The US has lost a lot of 6 EQ drones today and possibly a plane near the Syrian coast , the US isn’t confirming the losses , they are afraid Congress might rein them in.

Thegr8rambino

It died along with their original creative ideas in Hollywood, tech, and pretty much everything else a long time ago lmao

Michael Qiao

Raqqa is about to fall so SAA better move fast

John

Hey Qiao. The SAA is fine. They are way ahead of the curve and are still pulling away at this point. IMHO.

John Brown

Next stop AL Bukamal!

Mountains

This map is not reliable

Michael Qiao

do you know what else is unreliable? US media

Ma_Laoshi

Great progress but by Jove, who wouldn’t be short of manpower with such a plate of spaghetti for a front line? At least Itriyah -> Resafah seems a sound consolidation move I can understand.

Rodney Loder

Iran’s missile attack – no reported failures and only a minimum number of missiles used, Russian strike was the same, however the US hit on Shayrat Airbase, April 7 th. ; 60 Tomahawk’s were fired for the cameras, but only 23 presented themselves at the target site, 1 turned up AWOL since then no US missile action, it’s beginning to look like 36 were successfully intercepted, and the US command must have known that since the large number fired, luckily the ones that made it through to the target narrowly missed the sarin storage facilities, now we can use it on the Kurds.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The old S200 system has load capacity of 36 missiles might have been shot down by that , there was no sarin storage there just US blowing smoke they died from the chemicals that Al Nusra had Chlorine gas known as phosgene .

Rodney Loder

S300 have been operational in Northern Syria since late 2015, al-Assad said recently that the reason Syria air defence was not functioning against israeli attacks was because the sites have been over run by rebels, I don’t think any of the Russian Technicians manning air defence systems have been over run and warning was given to the Russians April 7th. I think the West was testing the accuracy of S300.
Russia doesn’t want to engage israel that’s strategic analysis, if Hitler had of had that ability his Green light to invade the Soviet Union would not have been forfeited, obviously it was Allah stiffing his neck, to save the Soviet Union, now who has the biggest stiff neck in the ME, Salman or Trump.
The sarin was a joke.

That Guy

Look at the map, north of Palmyra, ISIS is fairly close to Palmyra and they could attack at any moment, so this area should be secured to avoid having to liberate Palmyra for the third time.

Hrky75

That’s a bunch of mountains up there. Good for an odd diversionary attack but not for a full scale offensive. ISIL used it’s mobility and local road network in previous offensives. Now SAA is meticulously closing the roads, clearing and fortifiying junctions that may present a problem once they start The Push towards Al Bukamal and Der Ezzor.

Hezbollah are keen to fight Americans in a ground war in Syria and are trying to get as close to them as possible.
