The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces have taken control of al-Barek hills and now are advancing on the al-Sawanat Mountain at the al-Sha’er gas field in the province of Homs. The al-Sha’er gas field is controlled by the ISIS terrorist group. On September 28, in the same area, the Syrian government forces took control of the Sawwan Hill after launching an advance against the terrorist group.
