Syrian Democratic Forces Control 90% of Southern Districts Of Raqqa City (Photos, Videos)

According to Kurdish sources, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have captured so far 90% of the southern districts in Raqqa city.

According to the US-led coalition, SDF fighters who are advancing from the eastern front in the southern part of Raqqa, are only 300 meters from SDF fighters advancing from the western front.

Moreover, SDF fighters continued their advance in Al-Bareed district in the northern part of the city, where they captured the government compound. Kurdish sources also claimed that 15 ISIS militants were killed in clashes in Al-Bareed district in the past 24 hours. SDF fighters also destroyed an ISIS VBIED in Al-Bareed.

From its side, ISIS claimed that it targeted SDF positions in Al-Mashbal district in the eastern part of Raqqa with two VBIEDs.

ISIS also claimed that its snipers killed 2 SDF fighters and wounded 3 others.

The ISIS-linked News Agency Amaq published photos of the clashes near Al-Atiq Mosque in the eastern part of Raqqa.

The SDF announced that it had deployed several units on the banks of the Euphrates River south of Raqqa to help civilians who managed to escape from ISIS. It’s believed that tens of thousands of civilians are still trapped inside ISIS-held areas in Raqqa city until now.

Sounds good. Maybe they will now be able to finish liberating the old city now that they can also attack from the south.

Once that has been liberated, the end game will begin for Raqqah.

Just more fantasy from the SDF , the US can’t fight all these battles for the Kurds they are becoming complacent in their photo ops and getting hurt by attacks by IS forces.
