On November 16, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advanced 4km east of al-Suwar town in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside towards the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to the Syrian-Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANHA). During its advance, the SDF fighters reportedly killed 10 ISIS members.
ANHA also reported that the SDF launched an attack along the eastern bank of the Euphrates River from its positions in Diban village in the southwestern Deir Ezzor countryside. 24 ISIS fighters were allegedly killed and a vehicle of ISIS was destroyed during the clashes south of Diban.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq announced that ISIS fighters repelled an attack of the SDF southeast of the Omar oil field. Amaq said that 8 SDF fighters were killed, 10 others were injured and 2 were captured by ISIS. ISIS fighters also destroyed a Humvee vehicle of the SDF with an ATGM, and captured several weapons from th SDF during the clashes, according to Amaq.
The SDF is now likely trying to force ISIS fighters to retreat towards the Nineveh desert west of Mosul inside Iraq. However, it appears that ISIS is willing to defend its last positions at the Syrian-Iraqi border.
Acc to some pro SDF tweeters SDF is less than 10kms from the Iraqi border where the Euphrates flows into Iraq. To use a favorite phrase of ass-adophyles, they have fire control over the Iraqi border.
Maybe an SDF desert patrol in humvees passing out new SDF uniforms to locals :D
You can’t have fire control from 10km away, you mongoloid, not even an ATGM can reach that far.
Mortars can reach up t, or even a bit beyond of 10kms, artillery even more. SDF does not have that much artillery, but they have plenty of mortars. And, if you had read my comment, I said less than 10kms.
If you had read earlier comments by me, you would have understood that I have repeatedly said to ass-adophyle commenters here, ranting about fire control, that fire control means zero against a dug in enemy which still has the ability to fight and defend itself.
But then, irony is often difficult to understand for the intellectually more feeble minded, challenged. Given your namecalling, it seems safe to consider you one of them.
Why do you hate assad so much?
A real civil war In israHELL against zionists , not a staged proxy foreigners-terrorists’s from overseas abroad civil war as seen in this article , a real civil war against zionists in israHELL to liberate arab Palestine from occupation is immenent underway !

The Syria-Iraq border must be sealed by the PMU from Iraq. They need to be given permission to advance inside Syria on the Eastern banks of the Euphrates river by the Syrian government to prevent the illegal armed US terror squads from invading and occupying the border area. Only the legitimate Syrian government can control its borders.
ABORTION RIGHTS ON THE BORDER!
The Abortion boy is back! What if your mother had aborted you and you would become some cosmetics product or a stem cell to give a new organ to some old corrupt, unscupulous, rapacious billionaire politician in Washington DC who would live another day to pay people to say this sh…t! Ah! Then you would not be here abortion boy, would you?
Same for you, and for every ISIS and HTS terrorist, and King Salman!
You are sick. Get help. Shalom.
This is all fake. There is no fighting going on between the SDF and their ISIS guised selves.
Right, it is all fake. There is even no land named Syria. It´s all made up by the (zionist) media !
Poor misled Zionist. Totally brainwashed…..sad.
no, no…in fact, there is no proof that a land named Syria exists (well there was a historical area and roman province called that…but that´s all). And if you think otherwise , YOU are the brainwashed Zionst !!
Kurds better not get too close to Iraq. They aren’t real happy with them at the moment.
SDF already occupies a long stretch of the Syrian Iraqi border, from the Semalka crossing to somewhere around where the Sinjar Mountain reaches the border, a stretch of app 175 kms.
Could be fake news, same pictures are credited with SAA.
US officials are giving more and more indications that the US will remain involved in North Eastern Syria Federal Region.
US investments in airbases in the region are another indication.
It seems even possible, linking in to a report by SF a month or so ago, though maybe not likely, for the US to give the region an instant airforce. As Israel has some 100k citizens of kurdish origins, many likely even still able to speak at least some kurdish, there must be trained military pilots among them. As Israel still has way over a hundred Kfir fighter planes mothballed and for sale, the US could buy them and hire kurdish Israelis to fly them as independent contractors, thereby giving the region a trained instant airforce with fighter planes that are not the most modern, but can hold themselves against the even older Migs of the Syrian airforce and against most of the old planes of Turkey.
