Syrian Army's Tiger Forces Leading Government Forces Offensive in Southern Aleppo

The Syrian army’s Tiger Fores are leading the ongoing military operation of Syrian government forces against the Jaish al-Fatah militant coalition in the southern part of Aleppo city.

According to reports, the Tiger Forces and the 800th Regiment of the Republican Guard are two main striking powers involved in the operation in the Sheikh Saeed Neighborhood.

Some 20 militants, including a top Ahrar al-Sham military commander, were neutralized in by the Tiger Forces and the 800th Regiment. However, the specific of urban warfare has not allowed pro-government forces to liberate a significant area.

The goal of advance in Sheihk Saeed is to complicate movement of militants in southern Aleppo and to set a foothold for full liberation of Ramosueh.
