Fresh rounds of attacks were carried out by the Syrian Armed Forces on positions of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front or the Jabhat al-Nusra) terrorist group in Western Ghouta. As result, the Syrian Army managed to capture an important steel factory.

After hours of non-stop clashes, the Milano Steel factory, located near the town of al-Moqeilibiyeh, as well as all the nearby farms and blocks were captured by Syrian troops.

Engineering units of the Syrian Army are currently defusing a large number of explosive traps, planted by the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham group in the region.

According to earlier today’s reports, positions of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in a small, but key town in Western Ghouta were stormed by the Syrian Armed Forces, after the peace agreement with the Syrian government was violated by terrorists.

Reportedly, the FSA and its allies refused to retreat from agreed points in Elhamah. In response, these points were stormed by the Syrian Army. As result, a fierce battle erupted between terrorists and Syrian troops.

According to battlefield sources, the Syrian Armed Forces resolved to drive terrorists out from Elhameh. So, fierce clashes are still ongoing.

Policy Wonk

Al Nusra should not be allowed to change its name. That’s a propaganda ploy to make a complex situation even harder to follow. Call them al Nusra. Don’t let them disown their crimes by a simple name change.

Policy Wonk

Syria has only killed 4,000 civilians in Aleppo. In contrast, the U.S. killed 100,000 Iraqis in 2003-4. The low civilian casualties in Aleppo is remarkable. When terrorists chose to fight in civilian buildings, civilian casualties are inevitable. Syria should use all necessary firepower and press for final victory, whatever the price. The UN should pressure the western-backed terrorists to allow civilians to leave the battlefield, where they can be cared for by the legitimate Syrian government. Press on to victory and kill the terrorists.

why rush?Patiently waiting for them to surrender is much better..
