On September 13, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery shelled a group of Jaysh al-Izza snipers in the vicinity of the town of Masasneh in the northern Hama countryside, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). As a result, the entire group was eliminated.

Furthermore, the SAA shelled and destroyed a headquarters of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) near the town of al-Tamanah in the southern Idlib countryside. The SANA’s reporter in Hama said that several militants were killed and injured in the shelling.

A day earlier, the militants shelled several civilian areas north of the coastal city of Lattakia with rockets. While the attack didn’t result in any casualties, it was considered a major violation of the de-escalation zone in northwestern Syria.

The upcoming hours will likely witness more strikes by the SAA, and possible the Russian Aerospace Forces, on the militants’ strongholds in the governorates of Hama, Idlib and Lattakia.
