Russian warplanes conducted over 20 airstrikes on Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham positions in the southwestern Aleppo countryside supporting the SAA advance, according to oppositions sources. Most of the Russian airstrikes targeted the villages of Tell al-Daman and Umm al-Amad, according to the sources.

From its side, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)-linked news agency Iba’a claimed that HTS fighters repelled the SAA attack in the southwestern Aleppo countryside and recaptured Syriatel Hill. Iba’a said that five soldiers of the SAA were killed during the clashes in the hill.

Moreover, HTS fighters shot down a “DJI Inspire 1” drone, which was modified by the SAA to drop small projectiles, over the village of Hamirah, according to Iba’a.

Good luck, where did the 20 RUAF airstrikes come from?

RGtz98

There are still like 3/8 of the Russian contingent especially more regarding its CAS aircraft such as helicopters and such

I see, 7 doing 3 strikes a day would do it (something they are capable of with SU24/5, F22 would take three days for turnaround per mission).

This is still a nice reserve capability for SAA in hot spots. I suppose the actual Syrian air forces have been modernized and trained properly over past year or two to fill the gaps.

Let us not forget that the Iranians are now also operating armed drones in Syria as well.

Never believe in what Putin promised, just see what he does:)

You can call me Al

Actually you should believe him, he never stated that he would withdrawal everything, he stated categorically that enough would remain.

He was one real sharp cookie.

I’ve meant the same. May be my English is not good enough:)

No worries mate, probably my fault.

I missed the report by SF that acc to non SAA tweets SAA forces now surrounded by IS as they broke the small SAA stretch along the Euphrates in two places. Unknown how many SAA in that pocket.

I warned against the vulnerability there a week ago and said one word : flanks.

Now that Tiger forces have been withdrawn there, the true weakness of SAA and its command keep popping up.
