The Syrian Army has taken control over a strategic road, located near Khan al-Sheih town in Western Ghouta.
The Syrian pro-government forces have continued its advances against terrorists in Western Ghouta and managed to take control over a strategic road, located near Khan al-Sheih town, the Fars news agency reported on Tuesday, citing battlefield sources.
According to the sources, the road connects the southern side of al-Darousheh village and the Air-Defense housings, located in the eastern side of al-Za’aroureh and Khan al-Sheih town.
On Monday, military sources reported that positions of terrorists in surrounding areas of Khan al-Sheih town were hit by Syrian soldiers. As result, army’s units took control over a strategic road in Western Ghouta.
Syrian troops completed their operation in neighborhoods of Khan al-Sheih. After several hours of fighting against the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front) terrorist group, a residential complex of an antiaircraft unit and the road connecting al-Daroushe and Deir al-Khabiyeh were recaptured by the Syrian Army.
The SAA operation has been a crushing slow strangulation. The jihadist must be feeling the squeeze very strongly now. Soon this pocket will get cleared.
Neat, i was wondering what happens there… i wonder how this will look like. to my experience there was never until now a climactic fight to the end with encircled terrorists. they always made peace and withdrew. If they don’t, it’s gonna be a first for SAA to forcefully stomp out a terrorist pocket.
