Syrian Army Pushes Back ISIS Terrorists Near Tyas Airbase (Map Update)

The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have engaged ISIS units near the Tyas Airbase in intense clashes, pushing the terrorists back from this strategic government-held site in the Syrian province of Homs.

Pro-government sources claim that the army and the NDF had seized some desert areas near the Tyas Airbase, killing up to 20 ISIS members and 4 vehicles belonging to the terrorist group. In turn, pro-ISIS sources reported “dozens of killed and wounded” regime soldiers and denied any retreats.

Government forces and ISIS have been clashing for a buffer zone near the Tyas Airbase. However, no side was able to gain the upper hand because there are no strategic positions in the desert area near the airbase that can allow to do this.
