The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have launched a military operation against US-backed militant groups in the eastern Sweida countryside.
Government troops have attacked militants in the mountains of al-Qasr and Rajm al-Dawla with an alleged goal to reach the Syrian-Iraqi border south of the al-Tanaf border crossing.
According to pro-government sources, the SAA and its allies are going to reach the Iraqi border and to prevent further advances of the US-backed militants in the area.
Photos of the Syrian troops and military equipment in the Sweida countryside:
While I can understand the SAA objective of securing the south eastern border region, the North Eastern DeZ is, except for a few airloads of reinforcements, mostly left to its own.
I think that this operation makes perfect military sense. This region of Syria is more lush with quality farmland and water sources while DeZ is essentially desert. I do not believe the the government has forgotten about DeZ But for the time being the jehadi scum must be eliminitated from Sweida and the SAA can then link up with Iraqi allies at the border thereby stemming the flow of the primitive scum into southern Syria.
They aren’t primitive, they provide everything that the US want, head-choppings, heart-eatings and rapes for you tube and the US telly news. have a look at nazi antisemitic propaganda (with a paper bag handy) and you’ll see the same dehumanisation.
I stand corrected. Ah the land of the free and the home of the brave. The biggest purveyors of violence and destruction on Earth.
How I detest those “people”.

Very easily, the US led “Terror Axis” is the multi headed Hydra the Serpent.
The Nazi’s of WW2 had great foresight when we look as Gaza and that is the largest Concentration Camp the world has ever seen.

Both areas are important.
Somehow the Syrian Military is holding the front line in Deir Ez Zor.
The Der Ez Zor area has continuous stream of IS – Islamic State incoming terrorists as they “escape” after being resupplied with money, arms, pickups, logistics by the US led “Terror axis” from Mosul, Iraq.
Whilst the Al Tanaf border crossing is wide open with nothing to stop the US led “Terror Axis” supplied IS Terrorist coming into Syria and fanning out into the whole country.
The SAA is now only 15 miles from An Tanaf where US and UK special forces have a base. I hope the SAA give the invading lovers of peace, democracy and the rule of law a bloody nose.
I think that they will best a hasty retreat and leave their “moderate rebels” to face the music.
Like all cowards they only fight the weak and defenceless. The SAA with Russia,s help is now anything but.

That’s good work by the Syrian Military though the last mile will be the toughest.
This base has been alleged to have been bombed a few months ago by the Russian Air Group after the “Terror Axis”, US and UK personnel who fled the base one day before.
This indicates the Russians tipped off the “Terror Axis” or there are spies in the Russian Command and Control Center.
On the video one does not see any chopper or planes supporting this government attack.
