Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists' Main Base in Northern Quneitra

A main base of terrorists on the Tal al-Hamriyeh hilltop in northern Quneitra was shelled by Syrian Army’s missile units. As result, the most part of terrorists inside the base was killed, while their machine guns and military equipment were destroyed in the attack.

Last week, battlefield sources reported that a large number of terrorists arrived in the province of Quneitra in southern Syria from the territory of Jordan. At the same time, hundreds of terrorists moved from Idlib to Jordan via Israel in order to join their companions in arms and restructure a new battalion, which “will operate under command of a joint operation room with Israel.”

According to the sources, terrorists, who took a large amount of weapons and military hardware with themselves to southern Syria, are going to launch a massive attack on al-Saria al-Rabea region in order to enter the al-Amal farms. Currently, they are moving to Jabata al-Khashab region, where the joint military operation room with Israel and their main base are located.

The southernmost parts of Quneitra and Damascus province will be first targets of the new battalion. Terrorists intend to launch their attacks along Syria’s southern borders in order to reduce pressure on other regions, especially on Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor, Latakia and Quneitra.

Last month, thousands terrorists of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front) group regrouped and launched a massive attack on positions of Syrian troops in the southwestern province of Quneitra. However, despite of air support from the Israeli Air Force, they were crushed. The Syrian Army downed at least two Israeli warplanes and two helicopters during the clashes in the area.
