The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) discovered and blew up a 50-meter-long tunnel made by ISIS terrorists in the Al-Syna’a district of Deir Ezzor. The tunnel was used to move VBIEDs into the SAA-held areas of the city.

The SAA killed seven ISIS members, destroyed a technical (a vehicle equipped with gun) and 3 ISIS fortified positions in the Panorama area west of Deir Ezzor.

Separately, SAA troops killed 12 ISIS terrorists and destroyed a technical when ISIS units tried to infiltrate into the riverbed area of Deir Ezzor.

The Republican Guard at the Deir Ezzor Airport destroyed a group of ISIS militants south of the Regiment 137.

The Syrian Air Force bombed ISIS positions in the Hill 17, the Alush Hill, the Tharada Mountains, the Electricity Company, and Saryyat Jneid south of Deir Ezzor.

US-led coalition warplanes targeted ISIS positions in Bokamal and Almayadeen in the Deir Ezzor countryside.

The SAA continued its advance in the Al-Makaber area and Liwa’ al-Ta’min in order to reconnect the SAA-held part of Deir Ezzor with the Deir Ezzor Airport.
