On Wednesday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies captured Salba town north of the ISIS strong point of Uqayribat in the eastern Hama countryside, according to pro-government sources.
Furthermore, the SAA captured Harif, al-Asfuriah, Rud al-Wahesh and Qatqat villages, and the al-Minshare mount in the same area, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
Pro-government fighters and journalists are in Salba:
The SAA killed reportedly many ISIS fighters, destroyed two battle tanks and captured 2 other battle tanks and a BMP-1 armored vehicle during its advance.
Meanwhile, Russian warplanes and attack helicopters carried out strike on positions and vehicles of ISIS in the eastern Hama countryside as well as in the area northwest of the al-Sha’ar field in the eastern Homs countryside, according to opposition sources.
The SAA is now hundreds of meters away from besieging another ISIS-held area between the AL-Sha’ar field and Taybah village in the northeastern Homs countryside. However, ISIS fighter may already withdraw from the area because it is mostly an empty desert.
