The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is preparing to launch a new ground operation in the northwestern region of Greater Idlib where many terrorist groups are present, Syrian pro-government journalist Mazen Ibrahim reported on July 1.
Ibrahim shared a video showing a gathering of SAA troops who will supposedly take part in the upcoming operation in Greater Idlib.
In the last few months, Greater Idlib militants, led by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), carried out dozens of attacks in a violation of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020.
The ceasefire is barely holding on. The SAA and its allies may be indeed planning to launch a new operation to deter the militants.
Nevertheless, sources in the army played down the claims made by Ibrahim. The sources told SouthFront that a ground operation seems unlikely as for now.
Any ground operation by the SAA and its allies in Greater Idlib will most likely lead to a serious confrontation with the Turkish military, which maintains a large force in the region. Ankara continues to support the region’s militants, including those fighting for HTS and other al-Qaeda factions.
Don’t anounce it,just do it.
Are you a faggot or what?
FYI Jens would have reported your comment and it would be deleted with the old comment posting system, Disqus. I think Southfront, when it monitors its own comment threads, appears to be much better about censorship.
So the answer is yes?
Well he has said that he doesn’t get money from people fuking him in the arse and going by his comments I thought everyone knew he is a queer kunt.
u proof you are gay!
You have so much free time to be here 24/7 to say the most stupid things.
Do you have a mental disorder?
Go outside AFTER Covid.
Hopefully the SAA has a few extra units of the TOS-1A, just for hts.
Who else believes the situation in, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen will change every fast, after Iran gives up on the US returning to its nuclear treaty?
A ground operation against the Idlib rebels will lead to a drone invasion. And this time, it’ll be worse than the Bayraktar TB2 drones. It’ll be drones carrying bunker buster GBU bombs. Even Israel is yet to drop such a bomb in Syria. One or two drops and an entire airfield is destroyed.
While other drones carry just one GBU bomb and about 8 smaller munitions, other drones will carry 24 smaller munition the likes of which you’ve seen in combat footage destroying tanks. Bayraktar TB2 only carries 4 small munitions. The drone carrying 24 will be able to wipe out an entire SAA convoy of 24 vehicles. And there’ll be many such drones patrolling Syrian skies.
Drones alone is enough deterrence for Assad and his allies in Syria. Then there are the 240 Turkish jet fighters, bozdogan missiles, fire-forget-and-find drones that don’t need human intervention or datalink to eliminate enemies using machine guns and bombs.
One more mistake and the SAA will suffer consequences greater than last time. They know this very well and aren’t going to pull the same sorry shit they did last time.
Israel calling?
Is that the best you idiots can do now that Palestinians have shown who is MASTER?
