The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have liberated the strategic city of al-Bukamal from ISIS, the Hezbollah-linked al-Mayadin TV channel reported few moments ago.

No details are available yet.

Earlier on Wednesday, the SAA and Hezbollah officialy met with Iraqi forces in at the Syrian-Iraqi border, south of al-Bukamal. Then, government troops liberated the Ratka oil field, Suwayyah, al-Hiri, Huwayjat Baghuz and entered the city.

Iraqi troops reportedly assisted the SAA in its avdance.

RT Arabic also says the city is liberated.

The Hezbollah media wing in Syria says same.

This is the end of ISIS as a “terrorist state” in Syria. It’s just a common terrorist group now.

you are false! you greeted amaricans in an tanf, you were always AGAINST al bukamal operation.

you have nazi weapon in your avatar, you hates arabs, jews, you like only aryans. so, you can not cheat us :P

FlorianGeyer

Solomon.please desist in your rants. The US Coalition lost the fight for the borders and the goal of the Black flag flying over Damascus.

Cry if you want to but do not attempt to insult PZIV.

PZIVJ

I have gotten use to his BS and twisted facts,
Do you think ISIS is disappearing through the oil fields to the north.
I heard they raided Al Bukamal money centers for some cash to pay off smugglers, etc.

SUB-CIPHER

Yeah, the guy is a bit confused. Even though I will say that he randomly brings a positive comment to the table here and there.. I would provide an example, but at the moment nothing comes to mind. So perhaps “sometimes” or “rarely” would be a better word to use. Haha. Anyways……… GO TIGERS! GO SAA!
Bomb them to the stone age! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/f81973bb351b4154cceab8c5e622c32109ceef32f317a95c6e51b6637f0edd02.jpg

Solomon Krupacek

i dont think so. the war is not over. you will see, how bad life will have the assad territory without oil, euphrates, water dams. yanks has time. they can wait years. sure will come 2nd revolt against assad. i know this scenario from afghanistan. the russians here make the same mistakes. you will see, assad will fall like in afghanistan babrak karmal, then come several pro-+russian rulers, but fuinally russians will be ecpelled from syria. you are too young and naive. i am experienced old fox. ;)

FlorianGeyer

OK Solomon, can you describe the government that YOU would like to see in control of Syria ? The realistic options are ISIS, AlNusra, Al Zenki types,Turkey,Israel or Saudi Arabia.

Solomon Krupacek

I am pro Assad, but maybe one of his good generals would be better choice. Conscription is the base. Any government is good, which will do this. Or: would be good in the past, because now is too late.

FlorianGeyer

Without President Assads leadership the Black Flag of ISIS would have been flying over Damascus now and the streets littered with the dead.

Just a look at Idlib today and the vicious internecine fighting between various terrorist groups squabbling for power and control over the civilian population is an indicator of the future of Syria if the terrorists were to prevail.

Solomon Krupacek

sure not. there are much better guys then assad. assad is weak puppet. the best would be the founder of desert hawks. he is good soldier and good organizer. i am sure, he is russians next favorite, therefore they moved him in moscow.

the assad family ruined syria. both generation.

FlorianGeyer

The founder of Desert Hawks is an oil oligarch and surely the
last thing that Syria needs is a leader who will , even without intention, cause tension with other industrialist’s interests ?

Anyway, it is for the Syrian People to decide who they wish to lead then into the reconstruction of their war ravaged country, NOT us.

Solomon Krupacek

assad is oligarch, too. and that guy torned OWN money in elite unite. without DH aleppo would fallen long time ago.

anyway, the syrian people will decide nothing. like they had no word in allowing of turkish unitsh on syrian soil. you, old commie are big liar and naive.

Ronald

She may be naive , but there is no need to call her a “commie” , or old .
She’s possibly naive , because she’s possibly young !
Ease up on the wine , Syria is winning , everything will turn out fine.
Three Cheers for the Good Guys ,

Solomon Krupacek

old commie, because he is using their vocabulary. same shits and bullshits.

PZIVJ

6 months ago I said that SAA would wait until Iraqi army moved to the border, did you forget? I guess I was right and you were wrong. :D
Time to celebrate, go grab your vodka bottle.
CHEERS

Solomon Krupacek

saa IS parasite

Rakean Jaya

what ever, you stupid old fox, how came with alot of times you got, you still couldn’t learn.

Solomon Krupacek

plus coward. I WAS RIGHT, not you! i was right, that myadin, maadan, al bukamal are no dangers, will be only weak resistance. and saa had to do my 3 ways of attacks. but with so long delay, that assad lost all oil fields. assad will lose everything. he will have no money for reconstruction of land, for army, will have no agricultural soil, all water dams are in the hands of yanks. russians are packing and leaving syria. unfortunately, I WAS RIGHT, and due to idiotism of russians, syrians and iranians the land will be split and slowly, but sure goes in the chaos.

btw., you always jump the very important thing: why do ypu propagate nazi germany? especially on russian site?

PZIVJ

Panzer IV tank is a nice museum piece from WW2.
Do they not sell plastic models in Slovakia?
I shall state again that Deir Ezzor was the first priority for SAA.
Syria did not have unlimited resources for a 3 prong attack into the desert.
You also need to consider supply hubs, supply routes and open flanks in the open dessert. I am surprised that you do not understand this !!
OH, AND I ALMOST FORGOT
GO TIGERS GO :D

Lupus

Good post Vlad, cheers!

Langaniso Mhlobo

Such a young man with courage and with honey bangers heart.Never bag for mercy from enemies but died for his mother land.Because of war orchestrated and terrorism create by irresponsible nuclear power USA and friends. This is how a true compatriot stand the last stand for his people, wife, children and beloved country. Not defecting because of bloody badluck US dollar.

Pave Way IV

Ahhh… hate to be the wet blanket here but where is the mountains of thousands of dead head-choppers that have been retreating to al Bukamal for months on end for the last stand? Where are the dozens and dozens of VBIEDs they would have likely prepared? Where are the suicide bombers that know they’re going to die anyway?

The SAA and PMUs walked in in less than a day without months of bloody door-to-door urban combat? Just like that? Planting a flag means a lot to these guys – I’ll give them that. But somebody, somewhere is still going to get killed by these disappearing headchoppers. A flag does little good for the troops left to secure the city if they’re slowly getting picked off by pop-up snipers day after day.

Ronald

Your right , but I would bet the reinforced concrete bunkers that where hit by the Kalibir’s , where large , and the casualties were large . More than that , those not scheduled for disposal , are likely in Jordan regrouping .

Pave Way IV

Russia used a total of nine Kalibirs the last couple of weeks in al Bukamal. Killing hundreds of head-choppers in bunkers is hardly a dent in the thousands who should have been in al Bukamal today. The SAA and Iraqi PMUs claimed to hold adjacent territory that would have blocked any recent mass head-chopper escape towards Jordan. If they let it happen anyway for some reason (say to spare al Bukamal from destruction) then I could understand the fall of al Bukamal without a prolonged battle.

I’m not saying there isn’t a reasonable explanation, I’m just saying I’ll wait nervously for one before I start popping any Champagne corks in celebration.

PZIVJ

It makes no sense for ISIS to take a long drive to a Jordan refugee camp in the middle of the dessert, even if they could make it with few vehicles and the “convoy” would be bombed. More than likley ISIS is dissolving to the north.
With no more central structure or paychecks, most of them will go back to local tribes and will be never be heard from again, or hide out in SDF area.

Ronald

AMN : 11/9/2017 , on the east bank of the river ” the occupied towns of Al Asharah , Souseh and Al Jala are filled with thousands of IS fighters that retreated from Al Mayadeen and Al Bukamal ” . Good intuition .

Pave Way IV

“I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit–it’s the only way to be sure”

FlorianGeyer

Only the future will tell how many ISIS were rescued by their US/Israeli masters to continue the carnage elsewhere .

Pave Way IV

The ‘important’ ISIS were airlifted out weeks ago. Any ISIS remaining there are the expendable pawns, easily replaced by new meat for the coming ISIS v2.0

Gregory Louis

They’re escaping into SDF held land or going through smuggling routes through Turkey is the safe bet for them because ISIS still owns lands in Iraq so all they’d have to do is escape North through SDF lands….Bukamal wasn’t in complete encirclment

Kim Jong

Amen brother.

Lupus

?✌

Gregory Louis

#makesyria red again

Solomon Krupacek

red terror

Kim Jong

Not this Christmas, Grinch.

Deo Cass

Thanks God! I’m happy for being proved wrong this time. I really feared a repeat of the Omar fields could happen here. Anyway, there is no time to lose. The Syrian government forces and allies now need to cross the Euphtes river and salvage what they can from the Eastern shores of the river, especially the Syria Iraq border.

Garga

Thank god. Good for you to be wrong.
I still hope that I be wrong too, fingers crossed.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

I also share the same as you, my friend, I was afraid that it would happen the same as in Omar oil field, but thank God as good as ever, He rewarded the efforts of the SAA and allies.

FlorianGeyer

Has anyone seen Dutch National ? :)

MH370

he’s in deep grieving mode. dont worry.. few days he will come back for SDF and Al Qaeda.

Rakean Jaya

Lol, i believe he is watching this article and comments in grieve and blaming himself while grumbling, ‘now i know that i’m not idiot, just near to it’

FlorianGeyer

Its all ‘Putins fault’ of course :)
Russian hackers have compromised Dutchnational’s sanity.

Rafik Chauhan

now cross the river and cut sdf from reaching any near to border with albukamal and qaim

John Whitehot

excellent news.

Sadde

Congratulations to all you Syrian people and thanks to all those true friends who have stood shoulder to shoulder with Syrian people.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Without lying this news has just rejuvenated me for at least 20 years.
Words do not suffice to congratulate the SAA and its faithful and brave allies who spared no effort and willingness to join together for a common good.
May God continue to fill them with victory and blessings of a lot.

FlorianGeyer

Me too. I am in awe of the SAA and their allies who have fought so long and so hard as the weight of the wealthiest nations in the world were attempting to crush the Syrian spirit.

Kim Jong

I just fuckin love it!!!!!!

Thegr8rambino

YESSSSS!!! GREAT JOB MEN!!! YOU DESERVE IT!!!

max

One down. 4 to go.
Get them all.

Bru

Waooh, how unbelievable, all these places liberated so fast these last times, accelerating towards freedom!
Thousand congratulations to all Syrians!!!

Vidura

crap! Well I hope SDF moves fast and at least secure as much of the fields as possible.

Kim Jong

lol..insecure much oil fields as possible^^

THIS IS SYRIA!

Ice Icegold

You have just admitted the real purpose of US supporting sdf…. OIL!?

Thegr8rambino

get the hell out of here u terrorist lover!!!

SnowCatzor

Already? wow that was quick. I thought it’d be at least another week. Well done.

Leon De Elias

Great news..

Hunt down every last one in the deserts..!
Oh and do not forget the Kurdish land grabbers,to show them where is their place..Go SAA..Support from Europe!

Tudor Miron

Well done! Deir Ezzor and Al Bukamal showed that SAA with its allies established a solid strategy to liberate it’s city’s – first RuAF/Navy is softening them with calibr and strategic bombers and than ground troops storm what’s left. Main point is that they do that without significant losses.

Solomon Krupacek

yup, beacuse of “brilliant”, sleepy russian strategy this happened with 6 months delay. :(

if happened, because half of reports are about taking of the city, half about under fire control only.

Kim Jong

Where is your suicide belt? Time to detonate. Best place is your cellar.

MABROUK for Syria!

Solomon Krupacek

your mother should do this, when she was pregnant with you.

Kim Jong

Not telling shit about somebodys mother. Grab your suicide belt. What you waiting for?

jason sixx

Die in a fire cockface

Bob

Oh Sol, you really are quite the misery.

Thegr8rambino

its a very nice strategy :)))

Ice Icegold

That was the end of ISIS.

Walter White

After the clean up operation Idlib next :)

Kim Jong

I think -i hope- Idlib will get back to civilisation without firing a single bullet by SAA.

Vladimir Šušić
Travis Kelso

Um, how about some videos inside the town? I mean I could type that it didn’t happen here and you couldn’t really tell me different? Showing me photos of guys hugging in the desert doesn’t prove much.

Jorge Sotomayor

Keep on rolling. God bless y’all and long live Syria!

FlorianGeyer

This is fantastic news. Once the ISIS pocket is cleared will the SAA cross the Euphrates to liberate the Iraqi border and the hinter land to the West or will the next campaign be Idlib or the Jordanian ,Iraq border areas ?
