The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is reportedly advancing against Westen-backed militants in the northern Suweida countryside.
According to reports, govrenment forces have pushed in the direction of the al-Zuluf reservoir and has so far managed to capture half of the road to it. The SAA is now in the Abar ar Rusay`i area near the Syrian-Jordanian border.
If reports are confirmed, it will be a clear signal that the SAA has started its operation to secure the Syrian-Jordanian and Syrian-Iraqi borders.
A commander of US-backed Jaish Maghawir al-Thawra said yesterday that the target of the Free Syrian Army and the US-led coalition is to capture the city of Deir Ezzor. He also stressed that the group didn’t coordinate efforts with the SAA or Russia or the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). He also said that the presence of about 100 members of the US-led coalition special forces was a message to the SAA, and that the US was working with the SDF to prevent the SAA from reaching the city of Deir Ezzor.
Meanwhile, Jaish Maghawir al-Thawra received 20 technical vehicles as well as some TOW missiles and mortars from the US-led coalition, claiming that it will be used in the battle for capturing Al Buqamal.
From its side, the SAA transferred significant forces from Homs and Damascus to Suweida including tanks and 130 mm artillery pieces. It was also announced that the National Defense Forces in Suweida will participate in the operation.
The SAA must quickly start their operations since it’s obvious that ISIS will not engage the FSA or the SDF as heavily as the SAA as previously demonstrated.
You have it backwards. The SAA in general will not engage ISIS while the FSA and SDF will take them on head-on.
More airstrikes on SAA to be expected in near future in this region if they try again.
US don’t dare to upset the Big Bear. If they do the Big Bear grounds all US planes over Syria.
They just did, using their jordanian lackeys. Send 6 su-24 down to hunt their convoys and crush them all
That would lead to WW3 in the final way.
I suspect, some secret agreement about assignment of zones of influence exists between Russia and the US. Reality is not what politicians say…
Yep, the US, Russia and Assad worked up plans long ago about defeating ISIS with the US/NFSA having control of the southern desert in order to provide direct support for their operations south of Deir Azzor.
Three first places in the world ranking of the beneficiaries of American financial help (annually):
1. Israel – USD3Bln. 2. Egypt – USD1.5Bln. 3. Jordan – USD1Bln.
This explains everything.
the no 1. figure is just the declared amount. The actual figure is much larger. But yes you are right, it explains a lot.
Big bear told Iranians NDF etc not to try it
Iran plays its own game there in Syria. And its final goal differs from Russian one.
Let’s hope that the Russians blow the fuckers out of the sky.

They can try to go north to close the ISIS pocket south of Palmyra. If all go well ISIS will leave the are before
About time the SAA moved to clear that whole area east of the Es Safa lava field.
