On November 7, ISIS terrorists made a fierce attempt to force the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah to retreat from an area sotuh of the ISIS-held city of al-Bukamal located at the Syrian border with Iraq.
According to pro-government sources, ISIS conducted at least 2 counter-attacks supported by suicide bombers. However, the ISIS assault groups were destroyed because the SAA and Hezbolalh were ready for such a scenario. At least 15 ISIS members and 1 car bomb were destroyed.
SAA and Hezbollah units in the area are reprotedly assisted by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This is why pro-governmetn troops contributed enough efforts to fortify their positions.
On November 8, reports appeared that Syrian forces met with the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in the border area sout of al-Bukamal, near the Akash oil fields. The situation in the fields are unclear. However, there are little doubts that pro-government forces secure them soon. The fields are located outside the ISIS defense line around al-Bukamal.
It seems that with this advance a new Solarium Pocket has been installed for ISUS .
The area is shadowless and the only repair are sun burning rocks… Seems that hell is calling )))
Don’t quite understand why isis resistance hasn’t fallen to zero by now…
