On April 12, Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad said during a meeting with Ali Akbar Velayati, the top adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, that any possible actions by the West against Syria will further destabilize the region and threaten the international peace and security.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Assad and Velayati stressed that the recent Western threats are based on lies and fabrications. The Syrian President even described these threats as a direct response to the recent achievements of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the Eastern Ghouta region.

“Whenever the Syrian army achieves victory in the field, some western countries rise their voices and intensify their movements in an attempt to change the track of events,” SANA quoted Assad as saying during the meeting with Velayati.

During the meeting, Velayati stressed that Iran has been and will always be on the side of Syria. The Iranian official vowed to support the Damascus government against any attack of the US and its allies during a visit to the Eastern Ghouta region on April 11.

The Syrian President rarely comment on US threats against Syria, which led some observers to believe that these threats are more than just words. Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned that a US attack on Syria “could be very soon or not so soon at all.”

The US and it’s allies with them are your standard group of idiots and liars all with psychological complexes needing to be removed from office. They will always jump the gun and cost themselves in the long run and shoot themselves in the foot.
