According to preliminary reports from the Ukrainian frontlines, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a successful landing operation north of Kupyansk. Ukrainian military sources reported that Russian forces crossed the Oskol River and gained a foothold on its western bank.
The Russian military recently launched assault on the city of Kupyansk. Amid heavy battles on the streets they are also developing offensive in other directions in this region. Russian soldiers on military boats reportedly crossed the Oskol River south of the village of Novomlynsk. They managed to gain a foothold and are rapidly expanding their zone of control in the area. Ukrainian forces were repelled from their military positions.

Russian bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskol River is located only several kilometers from the village of Dvurechnaya. This settlement is an important stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine turned into a logistics hub. The road in the village is of strategic importance. It is used to supply the Ukrainian garrison operating in Kupyansk. Russian assault on Dvurechnaya will disrupt Ukrainian military supplies to the war-torn city and facilitate Russian assault.
There are three major roads west of Kupyansk that can me used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two of them are already under close Russian fire control, one of which risk to be cut off in the coming days.
