On the night of July 14-15, Russian forces launched another intensive aerial assaults, deploying a combination of attack drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles against targets across Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported a wave of 267 Geran-type kamikaze drones and decoy UAVs, launched from multiple launch sites in Russia’s Oryol, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, as well as the DPR.

According to the official Ukrainian military reports, air defense units allegedly managed to intercept 178 Geran drones across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions. Additionally, 66 decoy drones were either jammed by electronic warfare systems or lost signal before reaching their targets. However, despite these efforts, at least 23 drones penetrated defenses, striking critical infrastructure in seven locations, while falling debris from intercepted UAVs caused secondary damage in nine other areas, according to the official claims.

Behind the official interception statistics, the real impact was far more severe. Russian strikes deliberately targeted military airfields, logistics hubs, and electronic warfare facilities in a coordinated effort to degrade Ukraine’s defensive capabilities amid the ongoing summer offensive. Over the past day alone, Russian strikes were recorded in the following areas:

  • the DPR
  • Sumy region
  • Kharkiv region
  • Zaporozhie region
  • Kherson region
  • Odessa region
  • Krivy Rih, Dnipro, Sinelnikovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region
  • Uman in the Cherkassy region
  • Kirovograd, Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, Voznesensk in the Mykolaiv region
  • Chernihiv and Nezhin in the Chernihiv region.

Russian strikes mainly targeted Ukrainian airfields across the country.

Multiple Geran-2 UAVs struck the Martynivka Airfield in the Mykolaiv region, triggering at least three major fires. The facility, located just 75 km northwest of Mykolaiv, has been a recurring target due to its role in Ukrainian air operations in the eastern and southern directions.

Another direct strike reportedly destroyed an aircraft hangar and an administrative building at Zaporozhzhie Airport, further limiting Ukraine’s ability to maintain its dwindling air force.

Russian drones were also filmed striking an airfield located on the outskirts of Chernihiv. Multiple explosions thundered after drones struck hangars and support buildings.

Explosions were reported near a military airfield in Zhitomir.

Last night a series of large explosions thundered near Chuguev, after Russian strikes destroyed a major logistics hub supplying Ukrainian forces near Kupiansk, with fires raging through the night.

Russian Iskander-M missile struck the eastern outskirts of Odessa, where another military airfield is located.

The satellite fire control systems revealed that on the night of July 13-14, another Russian Iskander missile struck a strategic electronic intelligence center in Odessa region, triggering a prolonged fire at the site. The targeted facility, operational since the Soviet era, once housed the 245th Independent Radio-Technical Unit of the “Krug” (Circle) system, part of a Cold War-era network designed to track NATO nuclear-capable aircraft, reconnaissance planes, and satellite communications. After 1995, the site was reportedly repurposed by Ukraine’s Security Service.

The strikes once again highlighted Russia’s growing effectiveness in neutralizing Western-supplied air defense systems. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation declared destruction of two German-made IRIS-T launchers and a P-18 radar station overnight, following recent claims of two more U.S. Patriot systems being destroyed. These losses come after Trump’s promises to send more Patriot’s to Ukraine, as Kyiv fully struggles to protect its skies.

The timing of the attack was particularly notable, coming just after former U.S. President Donald Trump issued the so-called “50-day warning” to Moscow, threatening severe economic sanctions if Russia did not cease hostilities. Instead of backing down, the Kremlin escalated, signaling its disregard for Western pressure. The strikes also coincided with reports of American investment funds seizing control of critical Ukrainian infrastructure, including the Olimpex grain terminal in Odessa, raising questions about Ukraine’s sovereignty amid the ongoing conflict.

The assault aligns with Russia’s deep-strike doctrine, systematically dismantling Ukraine’s ability to sustain its war effort. By targeting airfields, logistics, and electronic warfare assets, Moscow is softening defenses ahead of a potential large-scale offensive in the coming weeks. Ukrainian officials have warned that Russia is accumulating forces near Kharkiv and Sumy, while simultaneously grinding down defenses in the DPR.

trumps ultimatum seems a desperate way to grab a propaganda victory and more favorable terms to a nato defeat…if in fact trump is seriously negotiating rather than villainizing russia to gain support to further escalate the conflict for his globalist masters.
