Russian units have gained full control of the Yampil settlement on the Siversk sector. Russian army assault units are attempting to consolidate their positions in Liman. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner over the phone.
Kharkiv Sector
Active combat operations continue in the Kharkiv sector, characterized by a gradual advance. In the Vilcha area, Russian units are increasing pressure by stepping up air and artillery strikes. The Russian air force is striking engineering structures and concentration points with guided aerial bombs. Drone operators provide round-the-clock surveillance and fire correction. The combined use of these resources has enabled the expansion of the controlled zone towards the defensive lines by approximately 600 meters.
The Liman area remains characterized by high-intensity clashes. Russian assault groups are conducting continuous attacks to break the flanks of the defenders and penetrate deeper into their formations. Response actions focus on holding positions. However, sustained pressure and fire impact from adjacent sectors hinder stabilization of the front line in this area.
The Russian army advanced up to 500 meters in the Melovoye sector. They advanced along a line of tree plantations and destroyed buildings where layered defensive positions had been established. The offensive pace is being maintained, and units are consolidating on the achieved lines while expanding the tactical corridor.
Siversk Sector
A significant operational success has been achieved in the Siversk sector. Russian units have taken full control of the Yampil settlement and expanded their control zone to the south. Offensive actions are ongoing in the Zakotne area, where the defense has been breached, enabling forces to advance towards Siversk via the road.
Russian units have broken through the defensive lines in the eastern part of Siversk and entered the city. Consequently, offensive actions are now being conducted from the south, north, and east. There is ongoing fighting in the Enerhetykiv and Shevchenko street area. Ukrainian defenders maintain positions in the western part of the city on the bank of the Bakhmutka River.
In the southern axis, the breakthrough and capture of part of Sviato-Pokrovske have created conditions for the operational encirclement of Siversk. The main task at this stage is to assault the chain of strongpoints on the heights of this settlement.
Krasnyi Lyman Sector
In the Krasnyi Lyman sector, combat operations are underway in several dispersed areas. Fighting continues in Stavky, particularly around farm buildings in the western part of the settlement.
In Drobysheve, Russian units have taken control of the industrial zone in the east. Drone operators are actively identifying and striking detected groups and equipment, primarily with kamikaze drones and munition drops.
Clashes are occurring in a forested area between Novoselivka and Yarova. Ukrainian unit movements detected by drones are immediately targeted. There is ongoing fighting for strong points in the Korovyi Yar area. The Ukrainian army is actively using ground robotic platforms, three to four of which are destroyed daily.
Pokrovsk Sector
In the Pokrovsk sector, the focus is on consolidating the results achieved and developing the offensive on the flanks.
Mopping-up operations are ongoing in Myrnohrad. South of Rodynske, units have pushed Ukrainian forces out of the tree lines and are advancing southward. The Myrnohrad grouping is in a state of operational encirclement. Psychological influence measures are being employed, including the distribution of leaflets. Reports indicate the destruction of a drone control point belonging to the Ukrainian 38th Separate Marine Brigade.
The offensive’s focus has shifted north of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Efforts are primarily concentrated in the sector from Bilytske to Hrishyne. A significant concentration of forces capable of defending the Hrishyne settlement has been noted. Positional combat is currently ongoing in the southeastern part of the village.
Sumy Sector
In the Sumy sector, assault units are applying steady pressure to defensive formations.
Russian assault groups advanced along tree lines on four sections of the front. They advanced a total of up to 450 meters.
In the Kiyanytsia area, a drone command post of the 15th Operational Purpose Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard was destroyed by Geran-type drones. There are confirmed reports of significant personnel losses and the near-complete destruction of vehicles.
In the Andriivka area, Ukrainian combat groups from the 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, and the 5th Operational Purpose Regiment were destroyed by intense fire.
Conclusion
In the Siversk sector, the most significant operational result was achieved by establishing control over Yampil and creating conditions for a deep encirclement of Siversk from several sides. This puts the grouping in the city in a difficult position. In the Pokrovsk sector, the final stage of the operation to consolidate control over the Myrnohrad agglomeration remains the key event, as well as the shift of efforts towards Hrishyne on the northern flank. In the Kharkiv and Krasnyi Lyman sectors, the tactic of methodical, step-by-step advancement with terrain clearing continues. There have been local but progressive successes. In the Sumy sector, the offensive is advancing deeper into the oblast through forested areas. Artillery and drones are being used effectively to suppress resistance nodes and rear infrastructure. Overall, actions in all sectors demonstrate a coordinated strategy combining intensive assault pressure on key urbanized areas (Siversk and Myrnohrad) with constant forceful impact and expansion of control over peripheral, predominantly rural and forested sections of the front.
Along with the operational changes at the front, the diplomatic efforts have intensified. During a telephone conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. Presidential Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, key issues related to Ukrainian territory and security guarantees were discussed. According to Axios, the conversation lasted approximately two hours. The discussion of the territorial issue was reportedly difficult, though the parties made significant progress in agreeing on formulations regarding security guarantees. However, additional work is required to finalize mutually acceptable positions.
Ukrainian negotiators Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, held two-day meetings in the U.S. According to the plan, they will meet with Zelenskyy in London after returning to discuss American proposals. Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, noted that negotiations will continue, with personal meetings playing a decisive role in this process. This diplomatic activity, occurring amid a challenging situation on the front lines, underscores the pursuit of political solutions and formats for a potential resolution.
