Security Forces Eliminate 13 Militants In Central Egypt (Photos)

Security forces have killed 13 millitants in an area near the Lharga-Asyuit road in central Egypt.

According to reports, the militants were hiding in a house in the desert area near the road. Police Special Operations units eliminated all terrorists as a result of firefight. Security forces seized 2 IEDs, 7 Kalashnikov assault rifles and 4*4 vehicles. No casualties among security forces were reported.

There are few interesting facts abotu the incident:

  1. The militants were wearing military uniform to move smoothly and to attack military check points;
  2. Some of the militants were reportedly members of a bigger group that was attacked by security forces on October 20;
  3. 4*4 vehicles are often used by terrorists that operate at the Egyptian-Libyan border. So, this group may cross the border despite Egyptian Air Forces airstrikes in the area.
  4. The ISIS media reported nothing about this incedent as well as the recent clashes of security forces with militants in central Egypt. So, they could be members of another militant group operating in the area.

You should probably add DP-27 on the list seized equipment. Although it misses stock, flash hider and bipod, it is probably still operational.

@ testera,

That’s one of the guns used by Paddock in Vegas…. [cough]…

He used new guns, and this is WWII vintage. How about a photo or a link to some kind of proof of that.
