Furthermore, a suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) of ISIS attempted to attack a position of the SDF around the town of al-Bahrah, which is located more than 30km north of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. However, US-baked fighters destroyed the SVBIED before it was able to reach its target.
The SDF media center said in its daily press release that 2 fighters of the SDF and 15 terrorists were killed as a result of the clashes in the last 24 hours. Furthermore, 5 positions of the terrorists group were destroyed.
The ongoing SDF military operation in the Euphrates Valley faced many setbacks during the last two weeks. A day earlier, Russian sources revealed that 21 fighters of the US-backed group were killed and injured, when US-led coalition warplanes struck their positions by mistake.
