Yemeni sources reported that warplanes of the Saudi-led coalition had supported the pro-Hadi forces offensive and bombed several positions of the Houthis west and north of Taiz.

From it side, the Houthis announced that their fighters repelled an attack of pro-Hadi forces and the Saudi-led collation on their positions in the Asefra district in Taiz. Houthi fighters killed and injured several fighters of the pro-Hadi forces while they were repelling the attack, according to the Yemeni al-Masirah TV.

The Houthis also targeted a gathering of pro-Hadi forces in the al-Qasir district inside Taiz with three IEDs, killing and injuring several Saudi-backed fighters.

Pro-Hadi forces backed by the Saudi-led coalition launched a military operation to break the Houthis siege on Taiz on January 25. Several units of pro-Hadi forces have been besieged by the Houthis inside Taiz since the outbreak of the Yemeni war in 2015.
