Saudi-led Coalition Allegedly Foils Houthis’ Attack On Oil Terminal In Western Saudi Arabia (Video)

On August 23, the Yemeni Navy [loyal to the Houthis] announced that one of its units carried out a special operation, during which a “military target” inside Saudi Arabia was destroyed with a “suitable weapon.”

Minutes after the Yemeni Navy statement, the Saudi-led coalition announced that it had foiled a “terrorist attack” and destroyed a remotely controlled water-borne improvised explosive device (WBIED) of the Houthis off the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

“The Houthis and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard continue to threaten the international navigation and trade routes,” the Saudi led coalition said in its statement and stressed that it will take “measures to protect commercial vessels in the Red Sea.”

The Saudi Sabq newspaper said that the WBIED was on its way to strike an oil terminal of the Saudi Aramco oil company on the coast of the western Saudi province of Jizan. However, the Saudi Arabian Border Guards (SABG) managed to damage the WBIED and then detonated it in a secured area in the Red Sea.

This was the first attempt by the Houthis to attack a naval facility inside Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of the Yemeni war in 2015. The Saudi-led coalition will likely respond by stepping up its bombardment campaign on the Yemeni city of al-Hudaydah, which is the main stronghold of the Houthis on the western Yemeni coast.

Th Saudi’s have opened the gates of hell on themselves by attacking Yemen. Yemen has historically never been conquered, as the same with Afghanistan. Very rugged terrain and mountains, also, both Yemen and Afghanistan are tribal societies, whom cannot be defeated in battle. Look at the Pashtun, a tribal society of 35 = million people, where the Taliban draw their strength from, whom wearing beach sandals and bedsheets, armed with AK-47, IED’S, ATGM and like the Houthi’s, are embarrassing the Saudis, U.S., Britain and France.

The Houthi’s and IRGC will take the battle straight to the Saudi’s and UAE.

The Iranians can also claim plausible deniability. Even though they are assisting their Yemeni brothers.

Very recent developments. Following Houthi missile strike(s) on military installations in Najran District, report has come out the Houthis are now directly engaging Saudi military in Najran region in a military operation. Reporting is practically under complete black out on both sides. Based on a single report, I will take a wait and see approach to this.

Of some anecdotal interest though is there is outrage by muslims over Saudi denial of Yemenis to participate in Hajj pilgrimage – in comments I reviewed, ther were frequent posts encouraging Houthis to take war deeper into Saudi Arabia and a few replies mentioned this is coming or it’s already happening.

Time will tell.

The Saudis say the target was an oil terminal, because they know that will get the Americans foaming at the mouth.
BoltOn will strip a thread, if his oil is at risk.

THE HOUTHIS ARE COMING………….. it took them long enough to understand that, unless you cut the head, this will not end.
