Saudi Arabia continues to try to ‘establish democracy’ in Yemen, bombing civilians. Yemen’s port city of Al Hudaydah has been struck by the Saudi Air Force. As result, 25 civilians were killed, 76 others were wounded. But this did not prevent the US Senate to reject a resolution, calling to limit the supply of weapons to Saudi Arabia.

On Wednesday, the Saudi Air Force struck Yemen’s port city of Al Hudaydah, located on the shores of the Red Sea. As result, 25 people were killed and 76 others were wounded.

Saudi warplanes started to bomb the presidential palace, where leaders of the Houthis were at that time. Then, the surrounding areas were also attacked. Bombs fell on an apartment house, located nearby, which led to civilian casualties.

However, nobody rushed urgently to convene the UN Security Council or to call Saudis ‘cowards’, though usually they use such attacks on Yemeni civilians as a means for revenge to the Houthis, who systematically are victorious on the battlefield. Where is the UN Secretary-General, when he is needed so much?

In addition, right after the bombing of Al Hudaydah, the US Senate has acted very significantly, refusing to limit the supply of weapons to Saudi Arabia. US senators have voted against a resolution, calling for a blocking of the deal, according to which Saudi Arabia should receive arms worth about $1.15 billion.

But who cares – not white people and even not a ‘moderate opposition’ are being killed in Yemen.
