New satellite images have revealed one of the targets of the April 14 Israeli airstrikes on the western outskirts of Syria’s Damascus.

The target was a position of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) located near the town of Kafr Qouq to the north of the district of Qatana. A large warehouse in the position was apparently wiped out as a result of the Israeli airstrikes.

Another suspected target of the Israeli airstrike is a position of the Palestine Liberation Army that is also located near Qatana.

While the Israeli airstrikes have clearly inflicted some material losses, no casualties were reported by official or unofficial Syrian sources.

The UAE-based al-Arabiya TV reported that the target of the airstrikes was a shipment of Iranian air-defense systems, radar stations and drones. However, there is still no evidence to back these claims.

This was the second Israeli attack on Syria this April. The first attack, which took place on April 9, targeted a research center, a weapons factory, a military base and a suspected air-defense site in the outskirts of the town of Masyaf in the western Hama countryside.

The recent attacks were all a part of Israel’s “War-Between-Wars” military campaign, which is meant to hinder Iranian entrenchment in Syria.
