Sanctions over Iran’s nuclear program not still to be lifted

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani

Iranian president Hassan Rouhani shows himself very optimistic with the beginning of the application on Sunday of the nuclear deal agreed months ago, but as it was claimed by US officials, the lifting of the economic sanctions over the Islamic nation could take more time to be fully applied because a high commitment of Iran to do its part is required, and according to those allegations, that process could take months to be fulfilled, and besides that, they have certain doubts on Iran’s commitment because of the conviction of the Washington Post journalist prosecuted on espionage charges and the last Iran’s military tests of a precision-guided ballistic missile last Sunday. Are the Americans avoiding to carry out their liabilities on the nuclear deal issue by means of all those suspicions?

Iran’s most conservative faction members, including its Supreme leader, ayatollah Ali Khamenei, are not confident with the agreements reached on the nuclear deal, specially because they consider that the measures that are likely to be applied if Iran does its part won´t probably be fully accomplished by the American counterpart and also, those measures are not absolutely beneficial for Iran’s interests.

Anyway, Hassan Rouhani efforts to achieve the lifting of the sanctions are also absolutely important in the context of nest February elections.
