The BTR-82 armored personnel carrier is a latest version of Russia’s BTR-80 family. The vehicle was publicly revealed in 2009 and successfully passed trials and production commenced in 2010. The original version of the BTR-82 entered service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2011.
