Terrorist groups in the provinces of Idlib and Damascus were targeted by Russian fighter jets in a fresh round of combat flights; the militants suffered heavy losses, the Fars news agency reported, citing unnamed military sources.
According to the sources, “Russian army aircraft targeted Jeish al-Fatah’s positions in Binnish in Idlib, which ended in killing or wounding of several terrorists,” while “The Syrian army’s artillery units, for their part, shelled militant’s positions in Jisr al-Shughour in Southern Idlib from neighboring province of Lattakia.”
“The Russian Air Force launched a number of airstrikes over the key jihadist controlled town of Khan al-Sheih the Western Ghouta in Damascus province, targeting an al-Nusra Front’s command center hidden inside a collection of farms,” the report cited a source.
On July 22, al-Nusra’s positions in the regions of Anadan, Hayyan, Kafr Hamra and Hraytan were also struck by Russian bombers. Several terrorists were killed, and al-Nusra’s military movements down in the region were slowed.
In addition to Anadan Plains and Castillo highway, terrorist-held Handarat Refugee camp was also targeted by the Russian Air Force.
