The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on September 4 that two more American-made M270 MLRS and M142 HIMARS systems of Kiev forces were Destroyed in the Sumy region.
The two multiple launchers were targeted with missiles close to the settlement of Khrapovshchina, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the launchers were both destroyed in the strikes, along with two escort vehicles and 20 Ukrainian troops.
The United States has supplied Kiev forces with at least 39 HIMARS launchers since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. Germany promised to buy three more for Kiev forces earlier this year.
During the same period, the United Kingdom, Norway, France and Germany supplied at least 16 MLRS and MARS II -the German-made version of the system- to Kiev forces.
These launchers are typically armed with M30/M31 series GMLRS GPS-guided rockets, which have a range of more than 70 kilometers, or MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles with a range between 165 and 300 kilometers depending on the version.
In a separate statement, the Russian MoD announced that it had delivered a pinpoint strike with a single cruise missile on a large gathering of Kiev forces close to the settlement of Novye Basy in Sumy.
The strike was carried out within 15 minutes after the target was detected and verified. It destroyed seven trucks, four armored fighting vehicles, nine off-road vehicles and left some 80 Ukrainian troops dead or wounded, according to the ministry.
Recently, the Russian military has demonstrated astonishing accuracy in attacking the units and facilities of Kiev forces across Ukrainian territory.
On September 3, for example, Russian forces launched a pinpoint strike on Ukraine’s 179th Joint Training Centre in the city of Poltava, where communications and electronic warfare specialists from all formations and military units of Kiev forces as well as operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, were being trained under the guidance of NATO instructors.
As a result of the attack, some 300 AFU servicemen and NATO trainers were killed and wounded. According to local Ukrainian blogs, more than 80 bodies of the dead have been taken to morgues, and at least 190 others were injured with varying degrees of severity. A day after the strike, dozens of NATO transport and medical aircraft were observed in the airspace of Romania and Poland. Among them were German, Polish and many U.S. aircraft.
Recent Russian strikes inflicted heavy material and human losses on Ukraine. Despite this, the Kiev regime appears to be determined to fight to the last soldier to appease its backers in the West.
