As of October 13, the Russian military has advanced in several areas near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk direction amid what appears to be a limited collapse of Ukrainian defenses
In the Dobropillia salient, to the northeast of the key city, the Tsentr [Center] Group of Forces re-entered Dorozhnye after successfully expelling Kiev forces from the pocket between Nykanorivka, Boikivka and Zatyshok, to the southeast of the settlement.
From Dorozhnye, Russian troops will be able to attack Ivanivka and Nove Shakhove to the north. This would widen the salient, and further secure supply routes there.
Moving closer to Pokrovsk, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the Tsentr Group of Forces took over Moskovskoye to the southeast of the city.
The ministry also announced that Russian troops stormed the eastern part of Myrnograd. The large settlement, also known as Dimitrov, is located right to the east of Pokrovsk. The ministry said that troops were already advancing in the residential part of the settlement.
Advance by the Tsentr Group of Forces was also reported in Rodynske, to the north of Myrnograd, although claims of a breakthrough there are yet to be verified.

While Kiev forces will certainly fight fiercely to maintain their positions in Myrnograd, their defense lines to the south, between Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Chunyshyne and Novopavlivka, will likely collapse in the coming weeks, if not within a few days days.
In Pokrovsk itself, the Tsentr Group of Forces continue to advance from one building to another in the western, central and southern parts, slowly, but at a steady pace.
The drone units of the Tsentr Group of Forces remain highly active in all areas surrounding Pokrovsk, targeting any Ukrainian reinforcements heading to the city. This is causing serious logistical problems for Kiev forces, which clearly have orders to fight to the end there.
Ukraine has allocated so much assets, including some of its best military formations, to defend Pokrovsk and counterattack in the Dobropillia salient. As a result, Ukrainian defense lines collapsed in several other directions. Despite all of this, the city appears to be deemed to fall and the Russian military is once again advancing nearby in the Dobropillia salient.
