On the evening of February 20, Russian forces launched new wave of strikes on the Ukrainian military facilities in the rear areas. The targets were located in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration in the Donetsk People’s Republic, which is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the attack, the Ukrainian military suffered significant losses in military equipment, facilities and manpower. According to the Ukrainian military, Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bombers launched X-22/32 missiles. Immediately after the Air Force of Ukraine reported the approach of Russian missiles from the “eastern direction”, a series of explosions thundered in the cities of Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka.
In Druzhkovka, Russian missiles struck the temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the gas equipment plant. The workshops of the Druzhkovsky gas Equipment plant are extremely convenient for storage of military equipment by the AFU. According to preliminary reports, there were 15 pieces of equipment, as well as up to 200-300 personnel at the moment of the attack. There are also Hardware and Machine-building plants used for the repair of the Ukrainian military equipment. The city authorities confirmed damage in the industrial zone, but they provided no details.

Ukrainian media also leaked the video, confirming that one of the targets was the location of foreign ‘mercenaries’ in the city of Kramatorsk. Footage shows Polish fighters complaining about the strike near the civilian apartment, which they occupied.
The comment reads: “Kramatorsk, the damaged apartment of local residents”
Immediately after the publication of the video, Ukrainian source realized its mistake and deleted it, but it was too late to hide the truth; but the leak of evidence did not stop Kiev’s media from assuring the public that the Russian strikes destroyed exclusively civilian facilities and targeted innocent civilians. This is how Ukrainian propaganda is lying to its people and the foreign audience.

russian stance is let europe rot from the inside. russians are more or less passive, not escalating, not pressing, just using minimal force to defend their own territory and sometimes attack perfectly justified targets outside their territory, but not too far away.
they should probably focus on eu and us military aid once it reaches ukraine’s borders and not allow it go further. this would require no fly zone, destruction of roads, railways and infrastructure. kyiv, as the main logistics hub on the dnieper, should be leveled to the ground. but nothing happens because the russians buy time and wait. it’s a scary and costly strategy.
