Russian military monitoring sources revealed the target of Russian precision strikes in the southern Odessa region launched in the morning of October 15. A series of explosions thundered as a result of the strikes on Ukrainian military positions near the village of Tuzly located on the Black Sea coast near the Romanian border.
At around 10 a.m. local time, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched two precision strikes with Iskander–M missiles at the positions of the battalion of R-360 Neptune missile complex of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed the area of Tuzly. At the time of the strike, a mobile command post, two unified launchers and transport and loading vehicles were deployed at the position, preparing for missile attack on the Russian territory.

Russian military sources confirmed that as a result of the attack, the mobile command post was completely destroyed, which significantly disrupts the coordination of Ukrainian attacks and the their military operations. Both launchers suffered significant damage. Their use in further attacks is impossible without major repairs.
Neptune is one of the key complexes of the coastal defense of Ukraine, designed for strikes at sea and land targets. The Armed Forces of Ukraine use this complex in attacks on the Russian territory, including in Crimea. The main targets for Neptune missiles are positions of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
The recent timely Russian strikes in the Odessa region destroyed several cargo ships when they were unloading military cargo from NATo. The destruction of the precious missile complex at the moment when it was preparing for the attack once again confirm the high effectiveness of operations of Russian reconnaissance deep in the enemy rear.

if russia were strong enough they would have taken odessa oblast during phase 1 of ukraine special operation in 2022, odessa is russia land, they fought so many battles in history just to give odessa so easily. the russian strategy is not perfect, have some flaws but right now ukraine is finished, so russia is very pragmatic. but you don’t have to give your enemies any advantage and odessa into westerners hand is an advantage to them.
i agree completely that odessa has to be liberated together with all russian speaking oblasts. but on the right time otherwise the citizens will become targets of nato missile strikes with a lot of destruction and casualties🚀🚀🚀
i dont see russia walking away with odessa and galicia unless ukraine colapses very fast at some point so the usa can not react and send bulgar and romanian troops to odessa and polish troops to lwow. i think the nato is determined to not let russia have kiew nor anything west of it.

when you do the planning you should take all facts, and some hypothetical scenarios. during phase 1 they were all focused in what could happen kiev and not in odessa. also, landlock ukraine from the beginning would have been a blown to the empire of the exceptionals and their lackeys. russia could have take their ancient city back and protect them.
they should have done what isreal is doing in lebanon right now. take the border region to poland and destroy everything there as a buffer. western ukrainians are not brothers of the russians so they would have not felt as bad fighting them then the people in donbas.
