Novocherkassk in Sevastopol in 2015
A missile strike damaged the Russian landing ship Novocherkassk at its home base in Feodosia, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed on December 26.
Two Ukrainian Su-24 jets, which launched missiles at the targets, were shot down the defense ministry said in the statement quoted by Russian media. The warplanes were downed by Russian air-defense facilities near the city of Nikolaev.
The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said in his statement that one person was killed and two others were injured in the attack. Blast waves from explosions damaged windows in nearby buildings. No major damage was caused to civilian infrastructure.
Emergency services revealed that five have been injured so far and that 250 rescue workers were responding to the situation.
The local railroad operator later said that train schedules have been adjusted to allow for repairs at the train station where windows were shattered.
Landing ships are primarily meant for transportation of large military cargoes and amphibious operations. In particular, the Novocherkassk belongs to the Ropucha class and can carry 10 main battle tanks and 340 troops.
There were no details on type of missiles used by the Kyiv regime for the attack, but there are little doubts that NATO-provided missiles were involved.
The attack on Crimea came amid the recent setbacks of Kyiv’s forces around Donetsk city where they lost the key area of Mariinka and is now trying to stop the ongoing Russian advance in Avdiivka.

the ship was badly damaged in 2022 and was out of action since march of that year. ukraine has lost two su24s costing around $50 mil. and four invaluable crewmembers to damage a ship that was already damaged and posed no threat.

this just speaks to the nature how russia is conducting military operations in the theater and the larger political situation russia keeps expecting ukraine to negotiate which leaves them open to these type of attacks in the donbas and even russia itself

in my estimation there’s a 95% chance the war is just following the wef script. there is no strategic benefit to leaving enemy comms and infrastructure intact as russia has done. both sides are just making sure the war keeps going at a certain intensity.

why does russia keep docking vessels in an active war zone like that? and from what i’ve heard there was a lot of weapons and or ammunition on board that caused an even greater explosion that a stormshadow would normally be able to cause, which means the ukrainians either got very very lucky, or they clearly had help with intelligence.
this was yet another nato attack, nato/ british french missiles, nato intel and nato personnel supervising, time russia sent a message to nato.
imo this soviet era ship from 1987 was a decoy to get the enemy jets in action and destroyed. similar like the scrapped boats that were sunk in pearl harbour in 1941. rf is in total control and knows it all.
