Russian Jets Pound Southern Aleppo ahead of Next Syrian Army Offensive

AlMasdarNews reports: The Russian Air Force is currently pounding the southern Aleppo countryside, targeting Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) movements along the Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5 Highway).

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Russian Air Force struck Jaysh Al-Fateh’s positions at Khan Touman and Saraqib, destroying several enemy vehicles in the process.

In addition to their airstrikes in the southern Aleppo countryside, the Russian Air Force also conducted a number of airstrikes inside the provincial capital.

The targets inside Aleppo City were the jihadist-controlled Al-Ramouseh and Al-‘Amariyah districts that are located east of the recently captured Artillery Academy.

While the Russian Air Force pounds the jihadists, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” and Hezbollah are preparing for their next offensive to capture the Al-Ramouseh District.

Similar to their previous attacks, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah will attempt to overwhelm the enemy combatants with their advanced weaponry and superior numbers.
