The US-led coalition strike on a govermment military convoy in Syria is unacceptable and violates the sovereignty of the country, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Friday.
“Any military actions leading to the aggravation of the situation in Syria definitely affect the political process. Especially if such actions are committed against the Syrian armed forces… This is totally unacceptable; it is a violation of Syrian sovereignty. Of course, it does not help the political process,” Gatilov said.
On Thursday, the US-led coalition air power bombed a Syrian army military convoy 50 km from the town of Al-Tanf located at the Syrian-Iraqi border. The airstrikes led to casualties among military personnel and caused a material damage. (MORE HERE)
The US-led coalition insisted that Syrian forces were posing a threat to US-led coalition military personnel in the area.
Meanwhile, experts believe that Washington and its allies are seeking to not allow government forces to regain control over the Iraqi border with these actions.
It is “totally unacceptable”. So what will you do about that?
Correct, what Russia will do. Talk is cheap
Thermonuclear war.
You’ll be happy then.
Don’t be so fearful and cowards, exaggerating everything, disposed cowardly
to let themselves Spit in the face by anyone without doing nothing about that for fear of being hurt and destroyed by an extraterrestrial ray.
Please not far away is the brave example of North Korea with Trump.
Then, was North Korea destroyed by a thermonuclear war for challenging publicly the United States pride without any fear of their nuclear weapons aimed at him?
Let us recall always this Mexican saying:
” The brave will take advantage as far as the coward allow him ”
lolol.
North Korea hasn’t got some thousands of thermonuclear warheads and ICBMs to defend itself. Theirs is not courage, but buffoonery and propaganda trickery.
In fact the latest news coming from Pyongyang were accomodating and expressing a will to collaborate.
North Korea cannot fight an escalating war with the US.
Russia can, and will defend itself.
And again, “fear this and fear that” are themes that may work with kindergarten kids, but not with people who has read at least a newspaper in their life.
I think you should never compare the behavior of norkorea with russia my kindergarten kid friend.
Because what a shame for Russia is the behavior of North Korea that does not have enough nuclear weapons or military power to defend himselft, and he did not allow him to be insulted and intimidated by the Americans, who at the end had no choice but to calm down and backward in their threats and maleficent plan.
Its a big lesson of courage from the Norkoreans for the pacific Russians who can defend themselves by being on par with the Americans with thousands of nuclear weapons in their arsenals but at the slightest American provocation, they let them trampled, they and their allies, without doing anything about it , and all that, because of a exaggerated and unjustified fear of a possible nuclear war against them.
What do you comment about that my friend? I’m right or not?
Light me up please.
That’s how analphabets interpret geopolitics, using words like “courage”, “weakness”, “insults” and “intimidation”.
I know that you actually you get how ridiculous it is, but you have to write shit for analphabets needing their daily dosage of justifications to their russophobia.
For me you can keep it up all you want.
The fact that you have to keep attacking my assumptions, without adding nothing new (repeating “coward this courage that” ad libitum) only shows once more that your kind is put in severe difficulties by such basic, kindergarten points.
My kindergarten kid friend, again making tantrums, complaining and insulting instead of providing any solid argument to the discussion.
Make sure I’ll do not bother reading any of your so childish and surreal comments in the future until you mature.
Time to mature child, and until you do that, please let the most mature and respectful of us light up with objetive comments here.
Until then, bye bye my dear kindergarten kid friend.
lol.
Then stop saying the same things all over again and again and cover yourself in ridicule.
You’re the one who started and kept insulting.
I read in the NY Times that “The deconfliction area was created as part of an agreement between the United States and Russia to avoid military accidents.”.
Any background info on this?
There was no such agreement as americans did not sign or agree to anything, because the americans wane have free hand to conquer Syria or at least part of SYria and looks like Russia is allowing americans with Plan B
No. We don’t have any information regarding deconflection zone between Russia and USA.
Russia just has no balls, it is as simply as that. Point.
Correct Russia oligarch are afraid of americans and western establishments
SO WHY NOT SHOOT AT EM NEXT TIME, AT LEAST SCARE EM OFF, OMGGGGGG AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THEYRE JUST GONNA KEEP DOING IT
This is not the first time Russia is failing protect Syria. The question is very simple, are the Russians are good protector or just paper tiger/ Looks like N.K have more balls than Russia
can you say “provocation”?
that’s it, here and there.
I think that, after such a sharp words and strong statements, this made Americans really cr@p their pants… They have left without other options than to pack things and leave, never to repeat such a shameless strike again…
Nah, the US got a good laugh out of those silly statements and went back to work making life difficult for ISIS.
I realise the the US doctrine is to thoughtlessly and wildly attack in all situations. That is why the US public are having to pay for eternal wars that bleed the US economy at home for the profit of the few safe in their gated estates .
President Putin and his advisers are wiser than this and only strike when the results are likely to be positive. The US will pay for this illegal aggression when the time is right. That is why the US fears Russia as they are the ONLY power on earth able to fight US aggression and inflict a terrible cost on the US mainland.
Russia does not need to strike the US mainland , it has not gone that far . Positive was the statement that USAF targeting SAA , is unacceptable . Responding with missiles or planes would be to be provocative in a position of weakness . Reclaim Dier Ezzor , then push .
Russia also said they did not support SAA going in that area.
SAA , would be highly exposed out in the desert , and against air power , a sad waste of good men .
SAA send Russian made anti-air mobile air defense inbedded in the convoy. Didn’t you read that in the Syrian news? Syria fired the Russian missiles at the UK jets and they were easily deflected by the UK jets. Then the Jews gained altitude and the SAA S-200 missiles stationed near Damascus fired at the invading Jews, and the Russian built S-200 system failed to hit anything.
Only then after all Russian defense missiles were exhausted did the Jets bomb the Syrians. I AM POSTING THE NEWS SOURCE ARTICLE BELOW.
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960229000730
Those SAA militia units were sent in to attack ISIS from the south to eliminate them from the phosphate mining region and the roads to their west. The NFSA pulled back as planned so they could reach the al-Tanaf highway unmolested by roaming ISIS fighters. Then they stopped once they reached the highway and failed to continue their advance northwards since then. I believe those militias are scared of ISIS so their commanders went south to “intimidate” US/NFSA so they would appear to be fearless while counting on not being attacked by coalition forces. Russia knew better and told those fools to advance in the opposite direction.
Al Tanaf is just a border crossing , really not worth getting hot about . Do not get sidetracked .
A functioning airport at Deir Ezzor , is valuable , is worth more than gold . If that airport was operational , a few “Lightning Bolts” , RQ 170’s would take care of Al Tanaf .
They want to take the easy shortcut route to connect with Iraq.
you underestimate the value Al Tanaf…

Syrian President Assad, Iraqi security advisor discuss ‘direct’ military cooperation
By Rudaw
“Iraq’s National Security Advisor Falah al-Fayadh has delivered a verbal message from the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to the Syrian President in which he called for military cooperation between the countries, Syrian state-run SANA news agency reported.
The prospect for a direct cooperation between the Iraqi and Syrian army in the near [future] in the war against terror was discussed in a shared way between the two countries,” SANA wrote….”
al-Tanf (al-Tanaf) border crossing point between Iraq and Syria
Latitude: 33.4371536 (33° 26′ 14” N)
Longitude: 38.8354468 (38° 50′ 8” E)
is right in the corner of jordan syria, and iraq
Deir Ezzor, or rather, its southern suburb “Abu Kamal” is right next door in relative army terms and OC a potential future oil/gas pipeline spanning these key areas too.
In fighting , you fight to win .
If you fight from a position of strength you increase you ability to win .
If you fight from a position of weakness you decrease your ability to win.
Al Taraf is important without any doubt . However in order to win it , and the entire east and south of Syria , a nearby airport , that can back up SAA with helicopters , planes and drones , makes wining possible .
Attacking without air support , and completely exposed out in the desert , is a near certain , no-win .
Dier Ezzor is already an SAA outpost , with an airport . Clear ISIS from that airport , and surrounding hills , and not only Al Taraf , but the whole southern border becomes Syrian again .
Any new pipelines will run along side existing ones since those have the infrastructure in place for their maintenance and operation.
The deal between Russia and Iran is to preserve the current regime in Syria. There is no violation of the deal. It is not realistic to ask Russia to fight for the interests of Iran. Especially in light of the fact that there are many opponents in Russia for the creation of the “Shiite Crescent”. If Iran wants to control the border between Iraq and Syria with her proxies, Let her deal with the United States.
It is not in Syria’s interest to focus on an isolated and desolate border crossing in the desert instead of confronting ISIS in Deir Ezzor.
border crossings are important anyway, that’s a way to get people and shit into the country, so in the end you wish to control them.
In the end.
sorry, wrong words. let’s say “generally”.
I meant that the Syrian army has more important things to do now.
Why waste soldiers, equipment, etc. in a war that they have no chance of winning.
Why not take care of the southern border at the end?
because they actually a better chance to win it than all the other contestants?
Russia is waiting until an air war or some other armed type of military conflict breaks out between Turkey and the Zionist, racist, supremacist, Jewish, empire and its slave vassals like the USSA etc. Russia will shoot down USSA / Israeli empire jets if they conduct enough strikes to actually matter militarily. The empire hopes to provoke Russia and Syria as Russia / Syria are winning in the current situation.
Russia and China are also winning globally in every way, economically replacing the Jewish federal reserve dollar etc With some type of military conflict between the empire and Russia / China, the empire hopes to unite especially Turkey with them as well as public opinion in Europe and the world because as it stands the empire is losing everywhere so they think a war is their only hope.
World knows that USA led Co. are intruders in Syria and Iraq. USA wants to get control on entire land and sea of our world.
There is a Russian saying that says so:
“A dog that barks a lot does not bite.”
Knowing that, the International Coalition of Terrorist Sponsors in Syria, I fear that this illegal attack will be the very beginning of many more to come until the total overthrow of the Syrian president and the complete and final humiliation of Russia throughout the Middle East.
Although I doubt that it will the same case with the other allies of Syria as Iran and Hezbollah.
Because not being cowards, they have the courage and zero fear to face whatever that directly threatens their interests, and I admire them for that in contrast of the so usual pacific russian reaction.
when reasonable people will stop reason like jews a-la eye-for-an-eye fashion, they’ll get that geopolitics and conflicts are not treated like bar brawls.
Yanks (who probably have some murderous beast high in the command chain in this area) and Israelis do provocations because:
1- That’s the only way to keep a foot in the door, as the US has been totally barred from peace conference discussions, with the blessing of the UN envoy De-mistura.
2- They are not interested in peace, but in the destruction of Syria as a country.
Hence they hope that somebody among the Syrian allies will give them an excuse to excalate the conflict.
All in all, I see lots of several different users that say the same thing, “Russia never responds” “Russia don’t defend Syria” and that shit. Users that in the end amount to 1 or 2 persons.
All in all, I think it’s all the same west-ukrops acting out of hate and livor towards Russia that believe they have a saying in determining anything important in this matter.
They have not: let me remind something, as somebody who ‘s a westerner: NOBODY in the west (and I men west, not Poland or Baltics) is going to risk a full scale nuclear war because you wish to see Russia destroyed. You’re just a little tumoral heap of haters so small on the map, who’s gonna get healed by their immediate surroundings.
I did not expect to hurt your feelings so much with my comment, but I respect your point of view even though it lacks both objectivity and common sense.
Well, it is not a question of offending or fighting with each other here, but rather of sharing our points of view kindly.
I hope you equally respect the comments of others so we can take your comments seriously and not just ignore them as we usually do with many other unpleasant guys who usually express themselft a little like you I fear.
In the meantime have a nice day my dear friend.
with all due respect, this isn’t about feelings.
And about objectivity and common sense, I don’t see how objectivity and common sense have anything to do with stating that “countries act like cowards”. If its’ so difficult to get how childish and vulgar is that reasoning there’s the usual two options: either one is too fool, or young, or too corrupt.
When countries make provocations it’s because it’s the only way to make an opponent act into a chain of events (normally escalating) that they can control and predict easily.
Translated into common language: it means that the US and Israel (in this case) don’t have a clue on what the fuck they should do next in order not to lose everything in Syria.
But some folks need to keep the propaganda efforts against Russia, because in the end, that’s their little, small ambition. An ambition that is motivated by hate and nothing else, and is doomed from the start as all those schemes moved by the same feeling.
You probably never held a rifle, but you should know that when bullets start flying, nobody wants to risk getting shredded by a burst because “we need to destroy Russia (or anybody else)”. In fact, in the end those who try to start wars never have to fight in them anyway.
You use many words to express very little at all.
There will always be some excuse to justify the action or inaction of a third party.
But very soon my beloved Russia will be close to remaining without more excuses to justify his little and almost null reaction to the increasingly obvious Americans brazenness.
Believe me that day will not be far away because with each Russian inaction, his enemies in NATO opt for more and more provocations without even the slightest fear of a possible Russian response.
I comment the following as simply as possible, based on facts rather than a lot of words.
I advise you to do the same my good friend, for the benefit and understanding of all us here, please.
analyses of this kind, especially on conflict subjects where available information is scarce and unreliable made by deductions are always wrong.
Why? because the propaganda machines are geared towards forcing that kind of reasoning into readers.
I find it strange that at your age (assuming you’s the dude in the pic) you totally miss the old cold war games, and how the Syrian mess is similar.
Also you miss that provocations bring nothing strategically, they are signs of impotency of doing anything else.
You and others keep up the same kind of comments every single time some yank or israeli take a piss in the syrian desert.
Frankly, it’s pretty much useless and gives out your real colors.
You can also keep repeating that “I’m wrong and you’re right”, which is what you and these other ppl do every single time, but as anybody can see, it does not change anything.
The general situation is that Assad was losing, now he’s winning. Jihadists were winning, now they are losing.
You can look into your crystal ball with the wish that things will change, but this is all we got, and my crystal ball says that this course won’t be reversed.
Okey, okey. I think it’s time to finish and avoid others like me the worth of reading so many inconsistencies on your part.
Bye Bye my kindergarten kid friend and please, do not continue to comment further, because I will never read anything from you, I swear..
Nothing will ever change till the S-500 system comes online. As the S-200 S-300 and S-400 are useless against Israeli and UK and French aircraft. Till then, the resistance will take a beating and nations will fall. Including Mi6 now how a working plan on the table to begin civil unrest inside of Russia.
Their is now over the next 12 months going to be a new wave of attacks on Russians from new cells never before seen by Russia. And it will be SAS leading them in silence.
Russia has yet to put Israel in its place, and now it is to late. Now Israel is mightier then Russia is on the international playing field. Russia failed to move, and thus lost relevance.
Iran will be left to defend themselves after Israel is through destroying Syria.
Iran and Russia will fall at the same time yet each isolated do to a lack of total and complete cooperation together.
The UK has freely flown invisible UAV’s into Russian territory, and Russia never had the intellect to know it. Because of this Russia lost dozens of special troops in 2012 and had to read online post about how the UK-Empire was freely flying into their airspace.
Russia truly is an old toothless lion who awaits death from old age.

What does it mean unacceptable for Russia ? It is not clear at all, one does not see any answer !
By answer, I do not mean bla bla bla bla bla.
