The statements of a former Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Michael Morell, on the need to covertly kill Russians and Iranians in Syria are statements in the style of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

“These statements are not just inhuman. These words are in the style of the Islamic State terrorists, they say like this,” she said. According Zakharova, Morell’s words shocked not only the Russian government, but also the US State Department.

At the beginning of August, speaking on the CBS News TV channel, Morell said that the settlement of the Syrian conflict needs “covertly” killing of Russians and Iranians. “When we were in Iraq, the Iranians were giving weapons to the Shia militia, who were killing American soldiers, right?” Morell said. “We need to make the Iranians pay a price in Syria. We need to make the Russians pay a price,” he said.

Morell also noted that killing of Russians and Iranians should be conducted covertly, without announcing this to the entire world, but it is indispensable to “make sure they know about this in Moscow and Tehran.”

Against the background of an indistinct official position of the US State Department, public statements of some retired US officials and experts are a marker of the real level of the US attitude to various issues. For this reason, the Russian Foreign Ministry comments such statements.

Considering that he made these statements on CBS news, is outrageous, and should be condemned by all . Given his former position , suggests this , is his highest form of diplomacy. His reasoning that Iran and Russia supplying weapons is sufficient reason to “make them pay a price” , should give him an insight into why so many terrorists consider America as the enemy. They are the worlds # 1 weapon provider. Clearly it demonstrates the need for a higher level of communication to resolve the worlds problems.

I understand where he comes from. It is not easy seeing 5 years worth of investment go down the drain. On top of that, they need to explain to their Israeli handlers why the project for greater Israel is not going according to plan. At all.

US Foreign policy needs an exorcism and it’s intelligence sector needs an enema. Stick the tube in Langley and leave it there until everyone like Morell comes out.

How nicely put Fred…..

Err. That’s not a spokesman. It’s a spokeswoman. Not only is the clue in the name, Maria Zakharova, but she looks all female to me……..

It’s not surprising, coming from someone who led the Central Terrorist Agency of a rogue state known as the USA…
