In the Kupyansk direction, Russian units are focused on countering the reconnaissance and logistics of Ukrainian forces, while high activity persists on the Rubtsovsk sector, where Ukrainian units are attempting to exert pressure on several axes. In the Slaviansk direction, Russian troops advanced north of Rai-Aleksandrovka and in the Chervonoye area. In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian artillery and drones struck equipment and control points of Ukrainian units, while assault groups captured strongpoints west of Rovnoye and Novoselovka. In the Sumy region, Russian troops captured Bolshoy Prikol and Sadki, advancing on 23 sectors by up to 800 meters. In the Kharkiv region, Russian units are advancing on all sectors; fierce fighting continues in Kazachya Lopan. Editor-in-chief of the Italian newspaper Fatto Quotidiano Marco Travaglio criticized the appointment of former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov as an adviser to the Italian Defense Minister, questioning his competence.

Kupyansk direction

The main efforts of Russian units in the Kupyansk direction are concentrated on countering the reconnaissance and logistics of Ukrainian forces. A constant struggle for control of the “low airspace” continues. FPV-drone crews are striking Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, heavy delivery drones, ground robotic systems, pickups, and armored vehicles.

The main feature of the past day remains the high activity of Ukrainian units on the Rubtsovsk direction, where they are attempting to exert pressure simultaneously on several sectors, transferring reserves and expanding the grey zone. These actions have not yet led to a large-scale change in the front line; however, they create an additional burden on the Russian defense. In the Kupyansk direction the situation is more stable: there are no major changes on the ground, and the main struggle has shifted to the sphere of reconnaissance, the use of drones, and the disruption of logistics.

Slaviansk direction

North of Rai-Aleksandrovka, an advance by Russian units of approximately one kilometer and the capturing of new positions have been confirmed. Activity also continues in the areas of Nikolaevka, Yurkovka, Vasyutinskoye, Novomarkovo, and in the forest massifs on the approaches to the Slaviansk–Kramatorsk agglomeration.

Further south, additional signs of pressure in the direction of Konstantinovka have appeared. In Chervonoye, an advance of up to 700 meters and the capturing of new positions have been confirmed, while geolocations on the western outskirts of Konstantinovka show the presence of Russian personnel on the urban periphery.

In the Krasny Liman area, after Ukrainian counterattacks, a fluid situation persists, while Russian units are gradually restoring positions east of Dibrova.

Zaporozhye direction

On the northern sector, the Russian army, using artillery, air-defense, and strike-drone crews, struck targets in the areas of Velikomikhaylovka, Pokrovskoye, Ivanovka, Svetlaya Dolina, and Samoilovka.

Northwest of Zarnitsa and west of Lyubitskoye, Russian units continued to strike ground robotic systems, observation equipment, drone control points, relay antennas, Starlink satellite communication stations, and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian forces. West of Lesnoye they destroyed temporary deployment points in Nikolskoye and Timoshovka.

West of Rovnoye and Kopani, Russian assault groups captured strongpoints of Ukrainian units. At night in the Zaporozhye direction, artillery, air-defense crews, and FPV-drone operators shot down FP-2-type unmanned aerial vehicles and heavy “Baba Yaga”-type copters. Russian units continued their advance west of Novoselovka and captured strongpoints in the Chervonaya Krinitsa area.

Sumy direction

Russian troops continue to expand the security zone in the Sumy direction. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the capturing of Bolshoy Prikol and Sadki.

On the northern sector, the settlement of Sadki came under Russian control. The village is located in the forests and had long been in a semi-encirclement by Russian units. The surrounding forests possess greater tactical importance than the ruins themselves; however, in the absence of objective control footage, the scale of the tactical success of personnel of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 44th Army Corps remains unclear for now.

There are also advances in the Miropolskoye area. Bolshoy Prikol came under the control of Russian forces. Despite the name, the village is quite small. However, if it is possible to consolidate there, its capturing will facilitate the advance of Russian forces.

In the Shostka district, heavy fighting is underway in the forest plantations near Tolstodubovo. Over the past day, overall advance on 23 sectors amounted to up to 800 meters. Further ahead, the most likely attempts will be the capturing of Khoten and Kiyanitsa, for which fighting has already begun. The capture of these points will open the path to Sumy and significantly improve the logistics of Russian troops: shorter and safer routes for the delivery of ammunition, fuel and lubricants, and reserves will appear.

Kharkiv direction

Units of the “North” grouping continue to advance on virtually all sectors of the front in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian units are unsuccessfully attempting to attack critical infrastructure objects in Belgorod region. A large number of Ukrainian personnel are surrendering

Russian Aerospace Forces aviation and strike-drone crews delivered strikes against concentrations of Ukrainian personnel and equipment in the areas of Zolochev, Cherkasskaya Lozovaya, Tsirkuny, Stary Saltov, Russkaya Lozovaya, Pogoreloye, Prikolotnoye, Gogino, Podsredneye, Martovoye, and Veterinarnoye.

In the Volchansk sector, Russian units are advancing eastward in the Vasilevka area. In the Velikiy Burluk sector, Russian personnel advanced in the Sliznevo area. In Kazachya Lopan, fierce fighting continues. Russian assault groups advanced on three sectors by 300 meters.

Conclusion

In the Kupyansk, Slaviansk, Zaporozhye, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions, Russian units continue to conduct active combat operations, retaining the initiative on most sectors. Ukrainian units are attempting to counterattack, transferring reserves and actively employing drones; however, their efforts have so far not led to significant changes in the front line. The most tense situation persists on the Rubtsovsk and Krasny Liman sectors, where the Ukrainian side is attempting to expand the grey zone. In the Sumy direction, Russian troops achieved significant tactical successes, capturing two settlements and advancing on 23 sectors. In the Kharkiv region, a methodical advance continues, accompanied by the surrender of Ukrainian personnel. Overall, the initiative remains with Russian units, which are methodically expanding their control zone.

Editor-in-chief of the Italian newspaper Fatto Quotidiano Marco Travaglio, in his column, expressed bewilderment at the involvement of former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov as an adviser to Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto. “What got into the heads of (Prime Minister Giorgia) Meloni and Crosetto to hire him? Do they want to turn Italy into Zelensky’s dumping ground? Or do they agree that the bet on Ukraine’s victory was nonsense, and that the regime they continue to support and arm is far from democratic and is corrupt to the very top?” Travaglio wrote.

In the journalist’s view, Fedorov will be more of an adviser for show, and his competence, which Crosetto spoke of, raises questions. “As if there were no outstanding specialists in our universities, up to and including Nobel laureates, and we have to import them from one of the most failed, poorly governed, and corrupt countries in Europe. As if we were not already, unfortunately, leaders in the market of death,” Travaglio noted. Earlier, Fedorov reported that he had taken up the position of adviser on defense innovations to the Italian Defense Minister.
