On the night of September 16, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched new wave of strikes in the rear regions of Ukraine. Explosions thundered throughout the country, including in the capital Kiev.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that over the past day, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the infrastructure of Ukrainian military airfield, a workshop for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and four warehouses for their storage.
At night, Russian drone strikes were reported in different rear settlements in the Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Khmelnitsk, Zhitomir, Vinnitsa, Poltava and border war-torn regions.
A series of explosions were reported in the area of the Borispil airfield located on the outskirts of Kiev. Infrastructure of the international airfield is used by the Ukrainian military for military supplies, including from NATO countries, storage of military equipment.
More Russian drones destroyed targets in the Kiev region. Explosions thundered in the area of the town of Obukhov, where the targets were reportedly an energy facility that support military entreprises in Ukrainian capital, a warehouse with military equipment. Russian drone strikes were also reported in the town of Bila Tserkva and Fastov in the Kiev region, which are coming under Russian attacks on a regular basis. Ukrainian military warehouse near the railway station and the point of temporary deployment of Ukrainian Nazi units were destroyed. Ukrainian manpower was destroyed as a result of the strikes in the town of Vasilkov.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, Russian strikes were reported in the rear city of Krivy Rih. At the same time, Russian strikes are pounding the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the town of Pokrovsk. This is a strategically important logistics hub and a large stronghold of the Ukrainian military in the Donbass that Russian army is approaching.
Another military warehouse was reportedly destroyed in the city of Kremenchug in the Poltava region, where at least two Russian drone strikes were reported.
According to preliminary reports, the notorious Starokonstantinov airfield came under another attack in the Khmelnitsk region.
In their turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine traditionally reported the destruction of almost all Russian drones over the Ukrainian territory last night.
