On September 29th, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a series of devastating strikes in Ukrainian rear regions. The Russian military used both Geran kamikaze drones and Iskander missile complexes for strikes in the strategic Ukrainian rear and upgraded heavy bombs for attacks in the east of Ukraine.
At night explosions thundered in the Odessa, Mykolaiv, Zaporozhie and southern war-torn regions.

The city of Zaporozhie came under massive attack. Early in the morning, at least eleven Russian upgraded FAB heavy bombs targeted strategic facilities of the military-industrial complex, military and logistics infrastructure in the city of Zaporozhie. According to some reports, the city was attacked by thirteen heavy bombs.
One of the key targets attacked on September 29 was the Motor-Sich plant which is one of the largest Ukrainian industrial facilities that produce aircraft engines and components for unmanned aircraft vehicles. The workshops of Motor-Sich came under a series of Russian strikes in recent days. Today, the territory of the facility was reportedly struck by at least five Russian heavy bombs. As a result, large fires broke out in the area and secondary detonation was heard at the plant.
Another target of Russian strikes was the local ship repair plant. the facility produced Ukrainian unmanned boats that ensure naval operations of the Ukrainian military, including strikes on the Crimean peninsula.
Russian strikes also destroyed launcher and radar station of the IRIS-T system supplied by NATO to support Ukrainian air defense. The system was destroyed in the aea of the Zaporozhie airfield.
AN/TPQ-48 radar station from NATO deployed in the area of a former Ukrainian military base on the eastern outskirts of Zaporozhie came under Russian strikes and was heavily damaged or destroyed.
At least two Russian FAB heavy bombs struck the local Zaporozhie-1 railway station used for military supplies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Donbass and Zaporozhie frontlines. According to local reports, a military echelon was destroyed on its way to the front near Orekhov in the Zaporozhie region, where the Russian army resumed offensive operations.
According to unconfirmed local reports, one of the targets of Russian morning strikes was the building used by the Security Service of Ukraine in Zaporozhie, where both Ukrainian and NOAT officers were hiding from the Russian military.
In their turn, Ukrainian air defense forces not only failed to repel Russian attack but also damaged civilian infrastructure. Failed air defense missiles struck apartment buildings on Aleksandrovskaya, Sevastopolskaya, Svyatovladimirskaya streets. Kiev is using damage caused by Ukrainian forces to blame the Russian military for fake attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Russian drones struck point of temporary deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hidden in the lyceum named after Kotlyarevsky in the village of Kotlyarovo in the Mykolaiv region.
