In the direction of Krasny Liman, Russian assault units are repelling counterattacks and enveloping the Ukrainian garrison in Krasny Liman itself. They also advanced to the western outskirts of the city. In the Sumy direction, there is fierce fighting near Bachevsk and Ulanovo, supported by rocket strikes. In the Kharkiv direction, the offensive on the supply hub of Kazachya Lopan is accompanied by fighting in Okhrimovka and Losevka. In the Kupyansk-Izyum sector, Russian forces have cut an important supply road and are expanding the gray zone. In the Dnepropetrovsk direction, Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are attempting to infiltrate Poddubnoye and Komar. Politically, Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán stated that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union should be merit-based. The parties are working to organize a meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Krasny Liman direction
Units of the “West” military grouping have repelled Ukrainian counteroffensives northwest of Krasny Liman. They continue to advance toward Shchurovo and have cut off Ukrainian units in the Zverokhozyaystvo-Stavki-Shablin Yar area. They are also conducting offensive operations in the city.
In the northeastern part of Krasny Liman, Russian assault groups are attacking the outskirts and strongpoints of Ukrainian units in an attempt to close the encirclement around Ukrainian forces holding positions northeast of the city, up to the Stavki farms, and in the Shablin Yar ravine. In the Pinkov Yar ravine area, Russian forces are repelling Ukrainian unit counterattacks and expanding their control zone. Fighting continues in the western part of Maslyakovka and the southern part of the city.
The central part of the city is in constant flux. Russian assault groups have reached the western outskirts east of Lake Liman. In the north, Russian units have advanced along the northern shore of Lake Liman toward Zelyony Klin. There is ongoing fighting for control of the central city hospital and the adjacent administrative buildings to the southwest.
Ukrainian forces are bolstering their defenses in the city to the west or southwest of the railway line and attempting to organize logistics using ground vehicles from the Golubye Ozera side. To the south, Russian forces are expanding their control from the road to Slavyansk towards Shchurovo and have advanced to the Shchurovo-Krasny Liman road. This advance threatens to reach the western outskirts of the city and the rear of the Ukrainian units defending behind the railway line.
Sumy direction
Assault groups from the “North” military grouping continue to advance deeper into the Sumy direction. In the Shostka district, Russian assault forces are engaged in combat directly in Bachevsk and the surrounding area. Units of the “North” group have attacked positions of the 101st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade in the Ulanovo area with thermobaric munitions.
In the Sumy district, Russian assault units have advanced into twenty-one sectors, reaching depths of up to 900 meters. Firefights are ongoing in Ivolzhanskoye, Pisarevka, Novaya Sech, and surrounding areas. In the Krasnopolie district, firefights are ongoing in forest areas near Mikhaylovka and along railway lines leading to the district center. Russian assault groups have advanced up to 800 meters here.
Kharkiv direction
Units of the “North” group continue to expand the security zone in the Kharkiv direction. Assault units are advancing on the major logistics center of Ukrainian forces in Kazachya Lopan. There is ongoing fighting on the outskirts of this area, where Russian assault groups are clearing the basements of former residential buildings and the surrounding forests.
In the Volchansk sector, the “North” grouping’s assault units have advanced fourteen segments, up to 600 meters deep. There are firefights in the villages of Okhrimovka and Losevka, as well as in the Volchansk district’s forests. Radiation, chemical, and biological defense units have delivered thermobaric strikes again on the positions of the 127th Separate Territorial Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Ukrainian forces in the area of the village of Khripuny.
In the Velikiy Burluk sector, Russian assault groups are engaged in combat in the forests near Petro-Ivanovka. Over the past day, “North” units advanced up to 300 meters in two sectors. These units also delivered TOS strikes on a strongpoint of the 3rd Separate Tank Brigade in the Kolodeznoye area.
Kupyansk-Izyum direction
Positional fighting is ongoing in the Zagryzovo area. Russian forces have expanded the gray zone from Lesnaya Stenka to Lozovaya, incorporating Boguslavka. To the south, Russian units are breaking through Ukrainian defenses near Borovskaya Andreevka, advancing to the Oskol River. North of Novoplatonovka, Russian forces have taken control of the section of the road used for supply routes from Borovaya. Now, Ukrainian units can only rely on drone-supplied logistics.
In this sector, Russian forces have taken control of a significant number of fortified positions, though some Ukrainian groups remain in dugouts and forest belts. In Redkodub, Russian forces control the eastern part of the village. Positional fighting continues there without changes to the front line. In the Korovy Yar area, Russian forces have advanced slightly along the highway. Ukrainian units are attempting to cut off Russian forces in the Shandrigolovo area and reach Sredneye.
Dnepropetrovsk direction
The Ukrainian command is deploying substantial forces to impede the Russian army’s advance on the Zaporozhye and Orekhov sectors. There are ongoing active hostilities in Poddubnoye, where Ukrainian groups have infiltrated with several small detachments that are now being targeted by Russian drone operators. There have also been attempts by sabotage and reconnaissance groups to enter the Komar area.
Full control of these areas is impossible, as Ukrainian units are trying to paralyze the Russian advance, but lack the personnel and weapons to do so. Essentially, there are intensified drone operations that are not followed by ground consolidation.
A similar situation is observed in Novopavlovka. In an attempt to regain lost positions, the Ukrainian side is sending sabotage and reconnaissance groups into the Filiya area and the southern part of Novopavlovka.
Conclusion
In the Krasny Liman, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kupyansk-Izyum, and Dnepropetrovsk directions, Russian forces are systematically pressuring Ukrainian defenses, expanding their control zones and disrupting logistics chains. The Krasny Liman area is surrounded from several sides. In the Sumy region, strikes on territorial defense positions are intensifying. The Kharkiv border area is the site of an ongoing advance towards Kazachya Lopan. In the Kupyansk area, supply route disruptions are worsening the situation for Ukrainian forces. The Dnepropetrovsk sector is characterized by the high activity of small groups and drones, but the Ukrainian side lacks the resources to seize the initiative.
In politics, the topic of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union continues to generate discussion. Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán stated that Ukraine’s accession to the EU, like that of any other country, should be based on merit. “Hungary supports EU accession based on merit. This is our position toward all countries wishing to join. Everyone must meet the same criteria and implement them according to the EU accession methodology,” she emphasized at a press conference with her German counterpart, Johann Wadephul. She added that negotiations between Hungary and Ukraine regarding the restoration of Transcarpathian Hungarian rights have been successful and that the two countries are now organizing a meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
