Russian Army Stands Its Ground In Donetsk, Krasny Liman And Zaporozhye (Videos)

The Russian military had repelled several new attacks by Kiev forces in the directions of Donetsk, Krasny Liman, South Donetsk and Zaporozhye, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on July 26.

In a statement, the ministry said that the Russian Yug Group of Forces had repelled four attacks close to Belogorovka, Severnoye, Maryinka and Vodyanoye in the Donetsk direction. The group also targeted several Ukrainian units near Bogdanovka, Spornoye and Avdeevka.

Moreover, two ammunition depots of Ukraine’s 28th and 110th mechanized brigades were destroyed near Dyleevka and Avdeyevka.

The ministry said that Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 210 troops, seven armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two American-made M777 towed howitzers, three Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, D-20 and D-30 guns and an American-made M119 towed howitzer.

Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces continued offensive operations near Sergeevka.

“The advance was up to 3 kilometers along the front and 2,700 meters deep into the enemy defense,” the ministry said in its statement.

The group also repelled four Ukrainian attacks close to Chervonaya Dibrova and Raigorodka as well as in the Serebryansky forestry area. Moreover, several gatherings of manpower and equipment near Novovodyanoye, Torskoye, Yampolovka, and Grigorovka were targeted.

In addition, the activities of a sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed near Terny and an ammunition depot of the 66th Mechanised Brigade was destroyed near Novolyubovka.

Kiev forces lost 190 troops, five armored fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, D-20 and D-30 towed howitzers as well as three Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and an American-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar in this direction, according to the ministry.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack near Nikolskoye. The group also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment close to Storozhevoye and Neskuchnoye.

In the Zaporozhye direction, a large-scale attack on Rabotino was repelled. Two tanks, a Giatsint-B towed howitzer, and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer were destroyed. In addition, several Ukrainian units were targeted near Malaya Tokmachka, Yablokovo and Rabotino. A sabotage and reconnaissance group was also destroyed near Lugovskoye.

“From the morning of 26 July the enemy resumed intensive offensive actions in the Orekhovo direction. The enemy has conducted a massive attack with the forces of three battalions, reinforced by tanks.

The courageous and professional actions of units of the 810th Marine Brigade and the 71st Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorised Rifle Division have repelled all AFU attacks. The positions were held,” the ministry said.

According to the ministry, 22 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles, an armored fighting vehicle and more than 100 Ukrainian troops were neutralized during the battle.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In the Kupyansk direction, units of the 7th Motorised Rifle Regiment of the Zapad Group of Forces, using the results of the shelling, conduct successful offensive operations in Kuzyomovka direction. The troops have taken more advantageous positions.

The enemy losses were up to 135 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 tank, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 4 motor vehicles, 1 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system, Msta-B and D-20 howitzers, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, 5 motor vehicles, and 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system.

1 ammunition depot of the AFU 124th Brigade of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine has been destroyed near Zelenovka (Kherson region).

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 104 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 128 areas.

2 command posts of AFU 21st mechanized and 79th airborne assault brigades have been hit near Ivanovka and Novomikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defense facilities have intercepted 7 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles and 2 Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

In addition, 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Karmazinovka, Zolotaryovka, Rubezhnoye (Lugansk People’s Republic), Verkhnekamenskoye, Yevgenovka, Yampolovka, Krasnaya Polyana (Donetsk People’s Republic), Chumatskoye and Dibrova (Zaporozhye region).

In total, 457 airplanes, 244 helicopters, 5,271 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,942 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,139 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,624 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,906 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Russian news sources also shared a video showing some of Kiev forces’ new losses in the Orekhovo direction. Several destroyed tanks and infantry fighting vehicles can be seen in the video, which was taken by a Russian reconnaissance drone.

Other videos showed the destruction of seven Ukrainian tanks and howitzers with Russian Lancet loitering munitions in different directions.

Despite sustaining heavy losses, Kiev forces have failed to make any meaningful gains in any direction since the start of their counteroffensive more than seven weeks ago. Now, they are losing ground in some directions.
