Russian Army Launched Surprise Maneuver On Southern Frontlines

The Russian army continues to advance steadily on the right bank of the Kurakhovo reservoir, gradually approaching the town of Kurakhovo from the north. Russian forces have taken control of the village of Stepanovka and, if Ukrainian sources are to be believed, have taken full control over the village of Ilyinka. The offensive of the Russian Centre group is developing towards Berestki.

The capture of this village will mean a complete interruption of communications along the causeway connecting Kurakhovo with the village of Novaya Ilyinka. This road previously allowed the supply of the city’s garrison from the northern direction. In addition, the position of the defenders of Kurakhovo is now complicated by Russian massive drone strikes and artillery shelling from the right bank of the reservoir.

The Russian Defense Ministry reports about desperate counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which end without serious results and with heavy losses.

The units of the Center group took more advantageous positions and defeated the personnel and equipment of the 93rd, 100th, 151st mechanized and 25th airborne brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 35th marine brigade and the 119th theater defense brigade in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Berestki, Dzerzhinsk, Zarya, Leonidovka, Krasnoye and Dimitrov in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Nine counter-attacks of formations of the 42nd and 117th mechanized brigades of the AFU and the 37th and 38th marine brigades were repulsed.

The enemy lost up to 560 servicemen, two US M113 armored personnel carriers, three armored combat vehicles, three cars, one 122-mm self-propelled artillery “Gvozdika” and one 122-mm D-30 howitzer.

At the same time, the Russian East group of troops made an unexpected maneuver on the Southern Donbass front. Russian forces turned towards Razdolnoye, northwest of the previously captured Shakhtyorskoe. At first, it was assumed that the Russians would develop their offensive in the direction of the settlement of Rozliv and further cut off supplies along the Zaporozhye – Kurakhovo highway. Russian attacks continue in this direction along with the assault operations northwest of Shakhtyorskoe. If successful, the Russian army would be able to cover a wide area and cut two highways at once. In cooperation with the advancing Centre group, it is also possible to establish control over the third highway Pokrovsk – Konstantinople, which will lead to a logistical disaster for the AFU.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian army is trying to launch local counterattacks.

The units of the East group of forces improved their position along the front line and defeated the formations of the 58th motorized infantry brigade, the 152nd infantry brigade of the AFU near the settlements of Velyka Novoselka and Razdolnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Two counter-attacks by units of the 123rd Theater Defense Brigade were repulsed.

The enemy’s losses amounted to up to 120 servicemen, one tank, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and one 155mm Paladin self-propelled artillery unit manufactured in the United States.

Russian forces restored their full control at the state border near Novy Put in the Kursk region:

In the Russian Kursk region, the Ukrainian military also faces problems. The Glushkovo offensive, launched in September, has finally stalled. The newly shared footage from the border area confirmed the Russians restoring the full control of the state border near the village of Novy Put and installing mine barriers in the area.

it makes “perfect” sense, is it? russians are laying landmines and “quickly advancing” in all directrions (including kursk) i told you many times that kursk stalemate will last for other 3 months and that russian offensive in kursk is ruled out , they are more or less sitting on their buts, awaiting new orders. anything else is wishful thinking and propaganda. kursk = russian debacle

oh boy, here we go again, the local idiot getting drunk and spewing inedible poop around!

jumping on your seat screaming “kurk, kurk” does not change anything in russia advancing everywhere. kursk is a miserable failure for ukraine as it did not change the dynamics of the war and cost ukraine its best troops and best equipement. well, at least you’re not at zero yet.

you do realize that a major offensive in kursk doesn’t play well into the agenda. ukraine is constantly have to waste large amounts of men and resources to maintain the pockets they have which are systematically strangled. the russians are suffered minimal losses while ukraine has lost roughly 30,000 in this area since their incursion. not to mention that daily large accumulations of hardware and manpower are destroyed just south of the border by islanders

lol you braindead moron.

dear friend, this is the border defensive line with anti tank shark teeth. the anti tank mines at the entrance are restored where previously motorized afu troops were let into the kill zone to gloriously get fried. this area is closed off now to focus on the main fronts in the kursk area. and do not whine that it is not going fast enough, because this is the endgame to destroy all afu reserves who already post online: do not mourn for us🥶
