On November 4, the Russian military expanded its control in the city of Kupyansk and nearby areas in Kharkiv, all while repelling multiple Ukrainian counterattacks.
The Zapad [West] Group of Forces repelled multiple counterattacks right to the north and west of Kupyansk, specifically close to Radkovka, Moskovka, and Sobolevka. Fierce fighting is still taking place there, but Ukrainian troops are not advancing.
In the city itself, Russian troops made additional gains in the area of the Central Market towards the Yubileyny neighborhood. Remaining Ukrainian troops in the southern and eastern parts of the city are facing some serious logistical problems.
To the east, the Zapad Group of Forces “tightening the encirclement around the enemy” near Petropavlovka, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Over the past 24 hours, the enemy lost up to 40 troops, 16 units of weaponry and military hardware including an armored personnel carrier, a 155-mm Bogdana self-propelled artillery system, two Kazak armored fighting vehicles as well as a U.S.-made HMMWV armored vehicle, two mortars, a lorry, and three pickup trucks close to Kupyansk,” the ministry said in its daily briefing.
Further to the south in Kharkiv, the Zapad Group of Forces resumed their advance to the west of Borivska Andriivka, approaching the Oskil River.
Ukraine is clearly heading towards a defeat in Kupyansk. The defenses of Kiev forces could collapse south along the Oskil once the city is fully captured by the Russian military.
Instead of ordering an organized withdrawal to save the lives of its troops and prevent a complete collapse, Kiev is, as usual, forcing its troops to fight there to the end. Ukrainian blocking detachments and drone units are targeting anyone attempting to flee Kupyansk, not just soldiers, but also civilians.
Last month a group of civilians, mainly elderly, were targeted along with their pets by Ukrainian drone operators as they were being evacuated from the city by the Russian military. New footage of the horrific attack surfaced online on November 1.
The recent developments in Kupyansk and other directions, including the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk, show that Ukraine has completely lost the plot.
Kiev is sacrificing its own troops in one lost battle after another with no real strategy in mind, all while asking for more support from its backers in the West to prolong the fighting.

i am surprised why russian still let nato supplies coming from poland. all the roads, bridges, tunnels and railroad tracks should be damaged in western 404 country. all the airfields attack non stop.
