Russian Army Achieved New Victory North Of Kurakhovo

The Russian army is rapidly developing its offensive on the shore of the Kurakhovo water reservoir, surrounding the stronghold of the Ukrainian military in Kurakhovo. There are only about 5 kilometers between Russian forces advancing on the norther and southern flanks in this direction. Thus, the recent destruction of the dam by the Ukrainian military will not prevent the encirclement of Kurakhovo.

On November 19th, Russian forces took control of another settlement on the northern bank of the Kurakhovo reservoir. Soldiers of the Russian 114th Brigade raised their flag in the village of Navaya Ilyinka. The small village is located west of Ilyinka on the outskirts of Berestki. There are the railway and road bridges across the water reservoir which were likely heavily damaged or destroyed during the battles or by retreating Ukrainian forces.

At the same time, battles began in the village of Berestki located nearby. The Russian army approached the village from the eastern and northern directions. Berestki may come under Russian  control in the coming days.

Surrounding Kurakhovo, Russian forces continue assault in the city. Instead of withdrawing forces from the doomed stronghold, the military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is sending reinforcement to this direction, including units equipped with precious NATO tanks. Ukrainian soldiers are carefully hiding these tanks but Russian fire finds them anyway.

The newly shared footage shows the destruction of another German Leopard tank near Kurakhovo. It was spotted by reconnaissance of the 238th artillery brigade of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and destroyed by Krasnopol guided projectile.
